"Kailangan talaga ganun para may emphasis? (Does it have to be that way to create emphasis?)" We were in a crowded train yesterday going to this train station. Like the everyday scenario on LRTs during rush hour, the train was fully loaded with people from here and there. Not to mention that we were already on the priority area, which was supposed to be reserved for senior citizens, pregnant, PWDs, and children (which I do not agree that the latter should be included in this area. Anyway..), still it was jam-packed! There was this old man, about 70 years old, who was requested to move forward to give way for the incoming passengers. Since the train was really full, a little move towards the requested direction will make you think that someone from behind was pushing you. Indeed, this man suddenly became furious and shouted at the old lady (a little younger than his age) who was politely asking him to move a bit for her to get through behind him, "Sandali! Kita nang may bata sa harap ko! Kanina ka pa tulak nang tulak!" (Hang on! Can't you see there's a kid in front of me?! Quit pushing!) And yes, she did not notice the kid in front of him. What do you expect? The train was really crowded for you to barely see your own foot! I just think that the shouting part was really unneccessary. Do we have to curse, shout, and do something extreme just to give emphasis on what we wanted to happen? Sometimes keeping it low while doing an ordinary thing the extra ordinary way will make the difference. Remember, the louder a can sounds, the emptier it is.
