#manibian

Doodles of a race I made, consisting of insectoid demons, named manibians.

They live in servitude of other demons, undyingly loyal and steadfast, however are quite egotistical and arrogant. Manibians are incredibly patriotic about their race, and demonkind in general, to the point that they will refuse to even be in the same vicinity as non-demons. They make pacts with demons, and only demons. Once a manibian has made a pact, they will serve their master for as long as they live, without a payment or a catch. The only thing they seek is respect, care, and sustenance. An ill-cared-for manibian will leave without warning.

Manibians are not picky with their jobs. They are willing to fulfill any desire or goal that their master names. They may serve as companions or workers, secretaries or builders, assassins or caretakers. A manibian is very prone to overworking themself, but never complain about their duties.

Their bodies are very insectoid, complete with a strong yet somewhat flexible shell, may have 2 to 4 pairs of arms, 4 pairs of legs, 2 pairs of eyes, and may even have 1-2 pairs of wings. Their waists are able to freely rotate, and manibians may move in any direction without truly needing to turn their lower bodies as a result.

They also possess powers that can manipulate time, but only for themselves. They can peer a short while into the future or the past, can pause time to move themselves, but not other entities or objects, and may slip into another realm that is said to house manibians and is known and accessible to manibians only. As a result, they are difficult to harm, but since their powers also cannot directly influence other things, they are not “overpowered” either.
