Irina could not believe for the life of her that this had happened, she honestly could not afford to be trapped in a place like this and would rather be at work because then at least she could be solving the open cases that were sitting on her desk; “Well at least this place is decent and has some interesting stuff in it right?” looking at an object on the mantel piece in front of her; “What do you suppose this thing is?” tilting her head to the side.

    sitting off to the corner of the bar ( typical wells , hoping to simply fade into the background ) , he’s supposed to have met a friend here a half hour ago . he can’t even remember the name of the bar he was occupying , but was seemingly a pretty popular one ( as if wells would know ) , a few bodies had already occupied the space & about a half hour ago , wells gave up trying to find his friend in between the many faces that surrounded him . he lets out a little huff, shoulders slouched as he debates on leaving or not   i mean , how lame did he look right now ? the thought has him puffing out his cheeks for a second before he exhales & downs the rest of his beer .

    without a second thought , he glances at the person beside him . “ scale of 1 to 10 , how much do you think you suck when your own friend stands you up ? ” his self-deprecating joke gets the smallest of chuckles out of him . he taps a couple of fingers against the bar top . “ i   i’m really not that lame , ” he somewhat playfully defends .

Audrea had always gone home to celebrate Christmas and would usually spend almost three weeks there, that it made no sense for her to decorate her own apartment. But now that she is spending it here in New York, possibly all by herself, she wanted to go all out. Browsing through the aisles, Audrea first stopped at the display of various Christmas ornaments. Pursing her lips, she began thinking of the right colour scheme for her first Christmas at home. “Which one do you think is better: white and gold winter wonderland or the traditional red and green tartan theme?” She asked, needing a second opinion before she buys all the ornaments according to her colour scheme.

“What’s stopping us from just...leaving? The power’s out, sure. But that doesn’t mean we have to stay down here...” he mused out loud when he noticed someone beside him. “You think?”

The girl tipped the cup back to her lips, jumping slightly as the hot liquid scorched her tongue. “Fucking hell” she cursed herself, running her tongue over her teeth and sighed. Today was going to be a bad day, she just had a feeling. She looked up as the area got more crowded, making sure to keep her distance and pushed through the crowd before finding a spot to sit outside the doors of the school.

She sat down at the table, setting her cup down and continued to scroll aimlessly through social media until the sound of someone walking up to her caught her attention. She smiled wide, looking up at the other as they sat down next to her “Heyy” she greeted, “Whats up?”

Working for Vogue was her dream. But there are times when Meredith just wanted to throw her phone at the wall wondering why it is called common sense when it seems like none of her coworkers have them. “We’re not a Victoria’s Secret catalogue. If I see another pitch deck filled with half-nude women posing with skis or a snowboard in front of a chalet, I will burn the entire thing down,” she said. “It’s going to be a Spring issue for God’s sake, it’s not even going to snow in America anymore.” Meredith ended the phone call abruptly, not being able to take anymore of that, especially during the weekend when she was supposed to be having a relaxing weekend. “Honestly, I get that people are excited to go on holiday in Aspen for New Year’s but how does pitching a winter-themed photoshoot for an April issue make any sense?” She rambled to the person next to her.
