Manglord Standard (@toyfinity) If you missed this figure there's a pre-order being offered through Feb 10 on the Toyfinity.com store. So ten years in the making from John Kent and forty years since their original debut comes Manglors with the promise of being able to mangle your figures. The original stretchy rubber things could best be described as "money stolen" because they didn't work worth a damn for swapping parts. The modern revival switches to the reliable Glyos System Series using durable PVC which most indie toy collectors know is a godsent for building with. Let's take a quick look at our Core Humanoid Manglors figure with the Manglord himself. Designed and sculpted by Matt Doughty and @erwin.papa comes something worthy to sit next to the @realxhead_mori figures it shares an add-on limb set with (more on this in a future post.) The sculpt detailing is simply amazing for how intricate it looks on the base figure. I would put this up with Frailey's various Armorvor detailing work and Fred Aczon who has done plenty at Hasbro including GI Joe Classified. Now @witchx3 mentioned this first and I can't unsee that there is a very likely Voss snuck in here. John's toys have often been a mainstay of alternate figures under the main @onelldesign umbrella so I expect to see many chances to get one in the future. The chest, head, and thighs reverse easily for some alternative designs and the very Manglodemon looking arm gives hope that we'll see some figure add-on kits to unlock Manglodemon and Manglodactyl options before needing a new mold. He's a tall figure even among a long line of tall options already within the Glyos system as you can see him paired against the Delphi, Maxx Zero, @warlordsofwor 's Trap-Jaw homage, and even the @toypizza Perfect Diver. So be ready for something that can even stand next to your Star Wars and GI Joe figures from the endless 1/18th options because Manglors are 4.25" tall.
