I personally like VR playing in the OG timeline because to me it feels more like the continuation of the Inazuma Eleven legacy. I'm too nostalgic about the older titles haha.

Some also liked the idea of a third timeline. I didn't even consider that but now I remember that this was the concept of Great Road. It would've made a lot of interesting interactions between established characters possible.

In the end, the timeline might not be as important since Level-5 doesn't want to rely on returning characters too much. I really like that though. Nagumohara and well, the entire story feel a lot fresher that way!
