More fun from @folkwaymusic today: this is a parts #Cabronita built by a friend of my #Mandocaster-playing buddy and longtime #Folkway alum, @samlowry73. I am not usually a giant fan of the Cabronita look, but this guitar was incredible. Lightly #relic-ed, #shorelinegold-esque finish with a #Bigsby and a neck so fat you could honestly put it into a major league #baseball game and it would take *at least* 5 pitches before snapping. That doesn't sound very impressive but keep in mind just how hard those guys throw! Really, really, hard. 😂 Anyhoo: it was also well under 7 lbs. I'd say it was in the low 6 lb range, but without a scale handy I would not like to lead you down the garden path if it turned out to be 6.5 or 6.6 lbs.
