More aydleo talk on main as my nightly 4am lore post 😭😭😭 I like them dude.
I don't know man it's like. Leo is all about death right. He's lived in a place built on top of and next to old ruins. He was sorrounded by ghosts then chose to keep them in constant company by becoming a spirit medium who ghosts follow and cling to. He is a soldier who has seen death first hand more times than he could count, its everything about who he is. At some point though he had forgotten what it was like to live. He lives for others, he brings joy to the spirits that remain on tyria, a lot of the time he is chosen to do things or follows them out of selfless duty. If you asked, he couldn't remember the last time he actually lived, fully, for himself. And then he meets Aydin.
Aydin is dying, but he's bright, he's a thrill seeker constantly moving. Unable to sit still, unwilling to go out without a bang. He finds Leo's rougher exges intriguing and his distance a puzzle to solve. He encourages indulgence, and is perceptive enough to know what to do to get Leo's high-strung, stress brain to settle and enjoy the moment. All of this just for Leo to see Aydin as the flame of a candle. Aydin ends up representing the joy of life, he slows him down, encourages him to speed up, indulge, live. They are life and death to me. Leo can't help but see aydin's restlessness as endearing. Watching him go from one activity to the next. His stubborness is admirable, and his thrill-seeking amusing. It just gets me bro....That through the moments he shares with aydin that he finds what it means to live again
