Mamoudou Gassama, an immigrant from the African country of Mali having traveled to France a few months ago in search of a better life is now being hailed a (super)hero after rescuing a 4 year old child who was dangling from the side of a building in Paris. Tracked down by reporters 24 hours after the rescue, Gassama said he had acted without thinking. βI saw all these people shouting, and cars sounding their horns. I climbed up like that and, thank God, I saved the child,β he said. βI felt afraid when I saved the child ... [when] we went into the living room, I started to shake, I could hardly stand up, I had to sit down,β he added. President Emmanuel Macron invited Gassama to the Elysee Palace on Monday, where he was given a certificate and a gold medal for performing an act of courage and dedication. Gassama told Macron: "I didn't think about it, I climbed up and God helped me." Gassama will be made a French citizen and has been offered a job by the Paris fire brigade, the office of the French presidency said. #blackmensmile #blackmen #smile #spiderman #blackspiderman #Mamoudou Gassama #paris #mali #superhero #wakandaforever
