Monster’s Night Out

It has officially been two weeks since I moved to Solsburg and I feel like I’ve lived here my whole life. Of course there is still much more to explore, but my roommates and the other villagers have treated me with so much kindness and generosity. Two weeks is a huge milestone and to celebrate, we will be attending the joust at Starfell, a larger kingdom an hour ride away from Solsburg. Between you and me, I’m hoping I meet a nice knight there and it’ll be a scene straight out of my storybooks. Other than that, a quick job update. I checked in with the produce stores in town and unfortunately none are hiring. Neither is the pizzeria that we got this delicious pie from! (Nice transition right?) 

Restaurant: Mama’s Pizza

Atmosphere/Decor: The pizzeria is a lot like the old pubs and taverns you’ll find in back alleys of larger kingdoms. Barrels as stools and ale in large jugs on the wall. The good thing is that Mama’s Pizza smelt like warm dough and cheesy garlic instead of really old musty and spilled ale. 

Dress: Casual

Vibes: Comfortable, a lot of people were having small gatherings and parties while we were there so it was a bit packed. 

Service: There wasn’t any singular person that helped us out. It was more of a team. One person helped with drinks, another took our order and checks, another brought out the food. It was odd to work out tips but everyone did a fantastic job. 

Food:

Dish: Tomato and Ricotta pizza

Flavor: (8/10) I’ve never had a sweet pizza before and man, was I missing out! The tomato slices married the other flavors and gave a sweet and savory spin on what typically just tastes like garlic. 

Balance: (8/10) Pizza usually doesn’t have a set balance since it’s different every bite. But physically, the slice didn’t sag too much or get too soggy. 

Value:  (9/10) It was absolutely fair for its price. The pricing seemed to cover all the bases, ingredients, service, and time.
