#malware 23

Azmuth had told him what this being, what he knew now to be called a Galvanic Mechamorph, had done- and he’d seen it, here on Galvan Prime. Buildings being crushed in seconds, the city in chaos, its citizens running scared. He towered over them, lumbering down the streets without caring about who or what he stepped on in the process.

And yet… he didn’t want to fight him. Hearing him speak, the tone of his voice when he called out Azmuth’s name… he sounded like he was in pain. Like all he really wanted was for Azmuth to listen to him.

But if not Azmuth, maybe the wielder of one of his creations would be the next best thing, repeating words that had made him stop once.

dont ask me to explain, but for some reason ALLOT of mechamorphs find him insanely sexy. He is constantly being flirted with, and always has tons of gifts and love letters from perspective beaus and belles

So I’ve discussed his story on my old blog, but I’ve been wanting to rewrite it a bit more coherently (or in my usually babbly way with some updated info i’ve been ruminating on askjdfhalskdjhf). That and I deleted my old blog and don’t feel like looking through friends’ tags to go looking for the original post ajsdfhlakds

First and foremost, he was actually created later than he did in the Prime dimension. He’s far younger than Prime Malware, and while he was still very volatile in the beginning because he was panicking as to why everything tech or his own kind he touched turned into dust and corroded. He still wasn’t very patient, and actually, Ben Prime coming to dimension 23 is a big catalyst for why he didn’t take the same route as his counterpart in the prime dimension. Now that 23 is aware of the fact there are good aliens, and that the Intellectuaries are not his enemies, Azmuth can safely return back home (leaving Tetrax to watch over Ben 23 in the mean time). 

He goes back, and while thinking back to the other Ben’s counterpart, and coming back to then Malware coming to visit. He can tell that the mechamorph is stressed, as he’s visibly shaking, and this is when Azmuth almost tells him he is NOT done with finding a good means of fixing his code. However, he takes the opportunity to do something you’d think the First Thinker would do, but doesn’t in these situations: think out his response.

Actually noticing the current state Malware was in, as well thinking back to the prime Ben’s way of handling his own counterpart, Azmuth realizes this is a delicate matter, and now that his issue with the child with his Omnitrix on Earth is on watch, he can focus more on this issue. He’s aware he has other duties he must fulfill, but he does later usher a statement that this is something he feels is important enough to put as a top priority to avoid any future conflicts. From the start, a big portion of why Azmuth 23 really gets to helping Malware 23 is because he foresees some pretty bad shit happening in the long run. It’s in the best interest of their Universe to work on him first.

He does, over time, come to enjoy the company of the mechamorph, allowing him to be under his roof since it makes more sense to have the being he’s trying to heal (getting samples from him and testing them to see if that is helping). And this is why within half a year, he is able to heal his creation. AT least, heal the aspect of him that causes him stress (as Malware does not enjoy the fact he can never have any physical contact with those of his own species) and then one day, he is able to adjust the life code and Malware 23 no longer corrodes of destroys the tech (or mechamorphs) he touches.

However, he retains his ability to absorb tech and make it part of him. Azmuth worries that having him on Galvan Prime may be a liability as, much like his Omnitrix, Malware’s ability could be exploited and misused. He could become some sort of sentient weapon, and Azmuth would not allow that. He has no fear for Malware to go renegade on his own volition, as he’s shown nothing but loyalty after Azmuth had really begun to get down to fixing his code, and showing his own form of sympathy and compassion for his creation. However, should someone tamper with his coding and force something to control his thoughts and actions, that could lead to very frightening issues.

However, Azmuth knew he couldn’t keep track of Malware, Ben 23, and his own duties on Galvan Prime. So, while he wasn’t a BIG fan of the idea, he went ahead and set up for Tetrax to remain on Earth for a year while Malware becomes situated with Ben 23. Malware’s loyalty, weekly progress reports, and his own calm and thoughtful demeanor would be a good contrast and staple to aid Ben 23 in his growth and making sure he was not abusing the watch.

It had been about a week since Ben had returned from his trip to (what he learned was) Ben Prime’s universe, not to mention the other one they’d taken a detour to during his visit. And sure, things had been busy, and he could always talk to Tetrax, but…

He never thought he’d be thinking this- especially since up until recently, he didn’t even know the guy’s real name- but he really did miss Azmuth. He felt bad about what had happened, even though he’d thought he was making the best decision at the time. He wanted to apologize, in person if possible, but otherwise would be just as good.

And that was when he found himself fiddling around with the Omnitrix.

(He’d been going out of his way to call it that, rather than the Hero Watch, especially when Azmuth was around- and it never hurt to see the watch’s creator smile just a little bit at the name of his best creation)

He remembered seeing Ben 10 do it, getting a message from his version of Grandpa Max, and though their watches weren’t the same, he hoped his own also had a communicator function built into it.

Of course, he couldn’t take an entire day to figure it out- but every spare moment, he was back at it again, pressing every button, turning the dial every way he could think of. He nearly gave up- Azmuth was the genius after all. He had important things to do on his home world, and it was up to him when he was ready to come back. Not Ben. Why should he listen to him, anyway? Almost a year before, he’d nearly…

He tried not to think about that. It was behind him now, and he wanted to be better. He was getting better, with the help of Azmuth and his assistants.

And it was just when he thought Azmuth’s name that he got a message.

“Ben.” the hologram of him said, popping up from the Omnitrix without any prompting. What Ben assumed was his lab stood behind him, and his mentor himself looked tired, or at least more so than usual. “I… have a situation that I need to continue to attend to, here on Galvan Prime. However, I believe it would be beneficial to have a different perspective on this matter.”

“And that means?”

“I will be teleporting you here.”

Again, Ben had no idea how that would work- but Azmuth surely did, so he just went along with it.

“So I get to see your home?”

“Some of it.”

Ben couldn’t hide his smile, even though he had no idea what was happening.

“Let me text my people.” he said, out of habit- although really, there was no question about what he wanted to do.

but!!!!

when i first saw this ask, i literally went, “ i have no idea why he has a british accent in general for any universe, “ and like even if his prime counterpart voice is inspired by TFA Shockwave, it still doesn’t explain why he has a human-based accent like that, though it could just be that it’s PERCEIVED as british- for all we know, they could still have subtle nuances in their own culture, and then also, I’ve wondered if other Galvanic Mechamorphs speak given the only ones that have spoken are Ben when he transforms, Malware, and I GUESS you could say Azmuth’s father (though not really alkjsdfhlkajsdfh)

For intense and purposes, let’s say Galvanic Mechamorphs don’t have their own verbal version of communication like Galvans or humans. Think like TFP Bumblebee with the beeps and clicks. I mean, they’re living machines, and can enhance any sort of technology so I don’t think it’s a huge stretch to think by default that is their language. 

They can, however, download things from other pieces of technology to an extent. The “fault” in Malware’s life code is that he can fully absorb technology with the aftermath of said tech disintegrating and that’s actually a small strand of DNA in all Galvanic Mechamorphs that COULD have a less than disastrous mutation, which is the case for Malware 23 after his life code is properly corrected. He’s still very different from the others of his species, but he doesn’t have to worry about destroying any technology he absorbs or simply downloads schematics for.

So with all that said, since we don’t know MUCH about how long Malware Prime was waiting for Azmuth to fucking help his son, let’s just assume for a brief period of time, Malware was on Galvan Prime in the beginning when Azmuth was more invested in helping the Mechamorph. Malware wasn’t as full of hate, and probably just a genuinely curious being who probably broke a lot of shit unintentionally. Some of that shit maybe being computers, and since tech becomes him, and computers can contain a lot of information, he probably gained a lot of the contents on those computers unintentionally, and accelerated his own knowledge and thinking abilities, as well as studying different dialects and languages.

So when he gets to accidentally downloading and destroying a computer with information on the Omnitrix, (which the computer issue wasn’t THAT big a deal because Azmuth has like 50,000 backups and probably a super photographic memory for minute details), he became interested, and from any of the other information he knew from previous downloads, he studied what he could from Earth, and probably just FOUND the allure of a british accent and begane speaking with such an accent. Not just in English, but any language; there’s just that lingering British tinge to it that won’t go away because he’s coded it and override his default clicks.
