tbh i kinda missed the slightly chaotic host city bidding process from last year, instead of having like 10 cities slowly whittled down until it was a final two, then the exciting announcement, this year we just had 4 cities and then a sudden announcement of the 2nd-most-predictable choice (since the predictable choice was having venue problems)
like wheres the drama, the intrigue, a city planning to build a new venue just for the contest ok i guess we had that but still
