Two years post-op update for jaw surgery. I realize I haven't been doing much for this blog other than occasionally answering questions sooo.. I thought I would make a two year update blog! For those of you that didn't know, I went under the knife during the summer of 2012 to correct my class III malocclusion (aka underbite). I haven't posted much because of college and the fact that nothing much has changed since my last post! Swelling has completely subsided of course and I am no longer experiencing the weird clicking noises when I open my jaw too widely! (It was something I frequently experienced after the surgery). I am also rid of the terrible migraines I used to constantly experience before the surgery and feel no numbness in my face at all. I have gained a few pounds, as a result of being able to chew more foods than I previously could. Honestly I am extremely happy of where I am in terms of health. For those of you who are recovering from the surgery or are about to go in for the procedure: GOOD LUCK and PUSH ON!!!! I remember how deeply I regretted the surgery weeks after because of how heavily congested and swollen I was. Honestly the recovery period seems so short now and nothing too painful. I am just thankful that I am now healthy and able to share my experiences with others. Please let me know if you guys have questions!! I would love to help you through the process, in any way that I possibly can.
