You know what, when I saw the sneak peek I was fine. Like literally fine, but now I’m so pissed. Y'all fakes attacking Magnus I’m so done. I already wrote about his feelings being valid but now everyone is offended when he called Alec “shadowhunter” ????? What?????
Literally almost every episode Magnus was called a “warlock” (and not a good way at all) and y'all never said shit.
I knew Alec was more popular among show fans but wowwwww. I didn’t think it ran so deep. Like all of fucking season one Alec was horrible to Magnus and he gets “he’s in the closet and scared and pushing him away” (all of those I agree) but when magnus is clearly doing the same (except the closet thing lol) none of y'all acknowledge it. Bye.
okay but.. you claim to like magnus but at the same you agree with a person who said that magnus does everything for relationship but is unhappy bc alec's still in love with his brother.. so like.. you like magnus but you also like jalec.. that means you like an unhappy magnus.. where is the truth
Okay, you wanna tell me that happy Magnus exists only in Malec, and he does not represent any value without this relationships? What?I agree that Magnus REALLY loves Alec, he is in love with him, and he’ll do anything for him, he actually did. But in their relationships Alec says more than does. He constantly repeats ‘iloveuiloveuiloveu’, but what did he do for Magnus, what did he sacrifice for him? I like moments where he tries to care about Magnus like in the episode about his past and memories, but, look, Magnus entrusted him with the most secret secrets. And what Alec did? He hid important information, and he lied.Yes, Alec did what he had to as head of the NYI, but not as Magnus’ boyfriend.He made his choice. He does not trust Magnus as much as Magnus trusts him.
Anyway, Magnus is one of my favorite characters, I like him very much, I know he deserves better, and I belive that he can be happy NOT ONLY as part of Malec. But when you say he doesn’t, you decry this character. And it’s disgusting.
Yes, Jalec is my OTP. And Jagnus, too. And Malace, heh. And so what? If I ship these pairings, I should hate Magnus? What a stupid stereotype.
Look, anon, Jalec fans DOESN’T hate Magnus as a rule. And Clalec fans AREN’T homophobes. And Morgencest fans DOESN’T practice incest and violence in real life. And Rizzy fans AREN’T drug addicts. All of this is JUST fucking stereotypes of the canon fans, who can’t imagine the existence of someone else’s opinion, different from theirs.So stop this trash. Unpopular opinion: Show!Magnus doesn't deserve Alec, he should leave New York and go far away from the mess.
Before I say anything: i wrote this because I someone told me: wow Alex is so beautiful...Magnus is lucky to have him. And I agree, but there was something in the tone it was said that made me step back. Also, I love malec more than I love anything else in this show, but I don't let that love blind me from the bigger picture like I've seen so many do around the internet. - In the book, the break up was because they both did things wrong: Alec did something horrible and Magnus was denying Alec the right to know about him and his past. In the show, Magnus isn't like that. He has literally done nothing wrong in this relationship (except maybe fall for Alec himself). And I know not many people think this, or don't speak up about it, probably because it seems like there are more fans of Alec out there than there are of Magnus (again I'm talking show.) A lot of *intense* show!malec fans show an immense amount of hate towards Clary. And I get it, cause I'm annoyed by her too (i don't hate her tho, much less the actress) she's constantly fucking up and it's frustrating. I JUST WANNA KNOW why I'm the only one that seems to feel the same about Alec. Sometimes....a lot of times. He's beautiful and yes, deserves to be happy. Nobody should have to hide their selves and who they are to please people. But can we just stop giving him a pass about everything just because we love malec? I'm sorry, but if he lies to Magnus like the promo suggests, I truly hope he has to say more than a fucking sorry to be forgiven because he has had sooo many "second chances" with Magnus. I'm so tired of him hurting Magnus and nobody grilling him for it. Don't get me wrong, I'm here for the angst, no relationship is perfect. And I'm highly aware that this is Alec's first relationship and he was brought up in a very strict manner (borderline abusive imo) because, after Magnus he's my favorite character. But I see people calling Clary names and dissing her for fucking up (sigh) just because she thinks she's doing the right thing (sigh), and that's the same thing Alec does! Neither of them should be "pardoned" so quickly with a "oh it's okay, you didn't know. You're learning." Maybe at first, but we're past this. Clary should learn by now and so should Alec. I'm fine with malec fighting over this, if they even do (this is all based on a promo, it might not go down like everyone thinks). It will be more character development for both and show that Alec still (rolls eyes) has a lot of growing to do. That's fine. I just hope the fans grill him the way he deserves while he figures how to fix it.
