what does the house of yall look like, enough detail to hit tumblr limit
Okay, so, I’m not totally sure if I can yap THAT much, especially considering the character limit is technically over 4 million… but I can do quite a bit of yapping!
First of all, it’s the place from Cabin Fever! It’s a decently big property, surrounded by woods, on a mountain, but still somewhat close to a city! (It’s Subrosa, it’s next to Subrosa)
We grow some crops, raise chickens, all the fun stuff seen in Cabin Fever! The property was left to Mallory by her aunts, who had it set up to be totally off-the-grid. There’s water reserves, rain collectors, solar panels, that sort of thing!
As for the home itself, the outside doesn’t have a whole lot going on. There’s a big deck on the side of the cabin, with fairy lights all wrapped around the banisters to make it look nice! We’ve got some furniture out there, too, and then a sliding glass door into the house. There’s windows all over the place for natural light, but we put blackout curtains all over the place, too, so we can choose our lighting!
On to the inside, this is where I can start REALLY start dumping details! So, big living room area, BIG comfy couch for us all to sit on together! On the wall to the right of the couch, (which is right next to the sliding glass door), there’s a fireplace in one corner, and a big cat tree for the kitties in the other corner. We have a big TV on the wall opposite the couch, and a big shelf under it for our games and consoles n stuff. There’s a computer desk setup in the middle of the room, but it’s all on wheels so we can move it around as we please!
The other part of the main house area includes the front door, kitchen, dining area, and the bathroom. Coming in from the front door, the bathroom is on the left (nothing much to talk about there), and the kitchen/dining area to the right. The sink is on the same wall as the front door, with a window right above it. There’s cabinets and cupboards galore, and it extends to the next wall, too! That’s where the stove is, with a bunch of counter space next to it (where our air fryer and microwave sit), and then our fridge next to that. We also have an island (a small-ish one) with more storage and counter space. Our dining area is a rectangular table and four chairs (the fourth is just for symmetry). The dining area doesn’t often get use, because we usually eat on the couch LOL
To the left of our TV is the door into the hydroponics room, where we grow some vegetables and whatnot in fish tanks. We mostly just keep up maintenance of what was already there when we moved in, but Mallory really likes just looking at the fish sometimes! In any case, it also serves as a sort of storage room, since there’s more space than the hydroponics tanks take up.
FINALLY, the last area is the sleeping area! In between the hydroponics room and the bathroom, there’s a staircase that leads up to a loft area. There’s a big queen-size bed, covered in cozy blankets and soft pillows. On one side of the bed is a nightstand, where Mallory keeps her journal and sketch pads and whatnot! On the other side of the bed is Mio’s PC setup (she already had it before we all moved in together, of course). Also on the side of the bed is one of those giant triangular windows that goes all the way to the ceiling, it’s really pretty!
Anyway, I think that’s everything! I hope this was a sufficiently long post, Silvey! Mwah mwah, the Farrow family loves you all! 💚💜🩷
