No caption will express the amount of gratitude and respect I have towards Malala. Today I had the pleasure of hearing her speak with such passion and confidence about education and female rights. I am so proud to be living in a time where women like Malala exude courage even in times of fear. It makes me realize that none of us have an excuse to not participate in the fight for humanity. We are all responsible for and affected by everything happening to our fellow humans around the world. We need to take ownership and use our voices. Issues surrounding women are not too large to fix, they aren't someone's else's problem and they affect every single person. It is simply unacceptable to view women's rights in any other way. It's your issue. It's my issue. Together, we must make a change. I am humbled to support the @malalafund through all my work with @spreadgirllove and look forward to thinking of new ways to make a difference. I consider myself very lucky to be on this platform where I can be the voice of the 60 million girls who are deprived of education, but I think it’s very important that children and kids think that their voices are powerful. It does not matter what your age is. We should believe in ourselves. If we want the future to be better, we need to start working on it right now. Children are in the millions in this world. If millions of children come together, they could build up this strong army, and then our leaders would have to listen to us. (x)

"I feel very happy that I got the opportunity to see Open Bethlehem and also met the producer and director of the film Leila. The film artistically is moving and powerful.  It  makes you cry.  It speaks for the freedom of people to have the right to  live together no matter what their religion or nationality is.  The film somehow had similarities to my life as well.  My father inspired me to believe in the power of our voice and so did Leila's great father.  I strongly recommend this film, it will not just inform you about the tragedies of Bethlehem but will inspire you, by the courage of Leila and her friends, to believe in yourself and your voice and become part of this movement.  Thank you Leila.  Your film is the voice of the people of Bethlehem and Palestine, whether Muslims or Christians or Jews.  It is voice of the people." 

All this time, you've never felt angry? No. Not even as small as an atom. Or maybe a nucleus of an atom. Or maybe a proton. Or maybe a quark. Never angry? Never. Islam teaches us humanity, equality, forgiveness. It doesn't matter for me if the left side of my face isn't working. Or if I cannot blink this eye properly. It doesn't matter for me if I can't smile properly. It doesn't matter if I'm not hearing from this ear. I can't hear.
