P O W E R // what does the idea of "powerful" truly mean? I mean, I know what the societal connotation of power is; to be the best, the strongest, the wealthiest, the most connected in high level social networks... but is that truly what POWER is? Or is it how we claim and soothe our own internal space? How we silently lead in goodness instead of seeking public acknowledgement for our deeds? How we hold space for others without a personal agenda? True power to me, means the understanding and acknowledgement of when we may be giving it away to others or circumstances around us. Power is in choice. Choice in how we show up, how we stand even in the thickest of winds (both our own as well as those of others around us), how we love unconditionally and without expectation.
