Round and Round selfie
Posing in front of the 2007-2008 Kincir Air Kesultanan Melayu Melaka (Malacca Malay Sultanate Watermill) along Jalan Merdekain Bukit Melaka, in Bandaraya Melaka / City of Malākkā (Malacca), in Malaysia
The Kincir Air Kesultanan Melayu Melaka is a replica of the first and largest watermill in Malaysia, which was installed by 15th-century Malay Sultanate; which incorporated technologies and designs from both Syria as well as Lijiang, China.
This picture was taken circa 2024, during a medical visit to Malaysia to address my stroke.
Postscript:
The word “jalan” means “road” in Malay, which has the same meaning to the Filipino term “dalan” or “daanan.” And the word “bukit” mean “hill” which is similar to the Filipino word “bukid” or “countryside.”
