Working on challenging and facing my fears! I do love to practice handstand. I am always in awe of my body’s ability to do it or not to it! It took me five years to figure it out and it still eludes me at times.I don’t like to put up complicated arm balances. I always get some kind of criticism for putting them up even though I put them up so rarely. I do it as a disruption of the current Yoga body narrative. I always lead with a bigger message. I do practice difficult asana to test my patience and resilience. Yoga is not about the poses. I will say it again, yoga is not complicated poses or physical Privilege or prowess. Poses that require a lot of physical skill seem to garner the most attention. I just want to capture attention so I could say to you, you are not the poses, the poses not you. You are the breath, the joy, the connection, and the peace of the practice. That’s all!
