This isn't an advice video. And it is. But mostly it's someone who embraces the idea that Doing the Thing is the most important part.
I'm a cheerful nihilist. I'm -thrilled- by the idea that in the grand cosmic scheme of the universe, what I do means almost nothing. That frees me to embrace the reality that the only purpose I have, the only meaning I'll find, is what I actually do, and how I treat people, and what I create. I don't need any of those things to define me, because I'm already a person, and that's a definition. I don't need them to create a legacy, beyond what I hope will be a warm memory or two for the people who loved me, and maybe someone looking at something I've done and thinking it's interesting. Where would perfection possibly exist in that framework? If I let perfectionism rob me of the act of creation or connection, it's like giving up the only "meaning" that matters to me.
Anyway, this is a great video, and you should watch it. And then you should go make something. (Whatever that means to you.)
