Muffins are just ugly cupcakes || Derek & Erica
Derek was not addicted to cranberry muffins. No matter what Cora said. He wasn't. Cranberries are just more healthy than poppy seed or raisins (he's not mentioning the chocolate). More delicious. More...fluffier. They're just better.
Cora, however, just laughed and told him to get his daily dose of muffins at 'Hey, there's a place called Guilty Pleasures Bakery. Perfect for you.' already and stop sulking on the couch. To be clear, he wasn't sulking. At all. It wasn't his fault his favorite bakery ran out of cranberry muffins. And it certainly wasn't his fault Cora kicked him out so his 'gloomly looming' doesn't infect the couch.
Derek sighed, stepping into the store and smelling a familiar scent. He paused, it's faint, covered by the many scents of the bakery. His eyes glanced around, heart speeding up slightly and some like hope swelling in his chest.
"Erica?!" He almost shouted, almost. It was still loud and most of the people there turned to give him a look. But Derek didn't care, because Erica was standing right in front of him behind the counter.
