Final Transport for London Posters

I feel I’m on the homeward stretch with this brief too. I’ve started to add a tiny little bit more detail with my illustrations, I did this by adding shadow’s behind them to give it that little bit more of life. I feel the posters are starting to look a lot better than what I had before. I’ve experimented with the type size to make it look less ‘slapped’ on. Having smaller text on the posters at the bottom work a lot better, than it did before. The poster’s need some work done to them as theres a lot of negative blank space, I feel to cover up that blank space I’m going to where they can find us on social media and where they can keep update with news alerts. 

The pastel colours don’t work and it doesn’t tie in with the other posters. These posters are too light and wouldn’t be striking enough during rush hour on the tube. If we put the collection together with the other posters you wouldn’t think they are from the same collection because of the colours. Also some of the illustrations need some work on there as they aren’t quite there yet. However I do feel we are on to something and the collection is starting to come along nicely!

I’m pretty pleased with these set of posters! Again they need more work doing to them but I’m feeling better with these posters. I’m really pleased with my bus illustration, it look’s slightly childish but Rebecca said she really liked it that style. Having a tutorial with Rebecca really helped me, we both agreed that me and lucy need to decided on a colour palette of 6 colours and to get rid of the black as it’s too dominant. I feel the bus stop sign is the strongest look out of this collection just because the simplicity of it. 

After seeing Lucy create our first few posters, I jumped straight on the creative band wagon. They are’t perfect but they were my first attempt at creating some posters for the brief. I created variations for each poster to get a feel for different style and element. I haven’t placed the text on the posters very well and that needs defiantly working on. The rocket ship doesn’t work swell purely because of the thick lines. I used a rocket ship to communicate the “speed up your journey” I didn’t want anything too generic but I feel it doesn’t really work.
