The other day I found a flower sticking out of a cement crack surround by dried up gum and loneliness. I decided to pluck it, with the idea that if I left it in the crack of the sidewalk  it would meet it’s untimely demise at the hands of a fit-throwing 5 year old stomping around cause he couldn't get anything from the McDonald's near by. In my eyes I saved this flower and much like the make a wish foundation, I wanted to make this flowers last day special, or at least as special as a sidewalk flower can get. I had it around taped to my backpack as i went to the Eagle Rock Plaza, the Galleria and random hole in the wall stores all over Old town Pasadena. When the day came to a close and the sun sat, casting a orange hue on the final bus stop, I said goodbye to the flower and placed in in a mile of dirt near by on the off chance that the flower regrew its roots and found a better home than the sidewalk crack.

I have not yet decided on the topic of my blog. I’ve been considering the idea of taking photos of people and creating back stories for each of the people I photograph. Or possibly just photography in general.
