Angie Sage was so right when she said the guardian of the most evil dungeon is a self-important bureaucrat. Tertius Fume is the most annoying guy ever, but I love him as a character.

Favorite installment in the Septimus Heap series (and favorite character)?

Ahhhhhh sorry it took me so long to answer, life kinda cartoonishly hit me in the face with a bunch of bricks😭

Ummm generally I love all the books. Sometimes, I start thinking "ahhh I like this book less then the others," and then I reread it and get proven wrong

But my absolute favorite has to be Magyk. The vibes are just so magical (pun intended), the whole journey to Zelda's cottage and the stay there feels so cozy and really different than your regular fantasy advanture.

Also gahhhh boy 412 plot I ALWAYS IT IT UP oh its so good how they make us subtly like boy 412 and build up slowly revealing clues about him until the climax. By the time we (and him) find out about his family, he's already managed to become a part of the family dynamic

My favorite character has to be Sep (wow big surprise) I tend to like main characters.

So theres the whole boy 412 thing which is written FIRE and his development from a suspicious and scared kid to this sassy and brave wizard i love it.

Also his interactions with different people are so funny and varied its awesome.
