In progress attempt at making Rex magical girl transform into her mech form.
Sharing some OC models.
So ages ago, me and a partner made a setting about Magical Girls transforming into mech suits called Magi-mechs. And they fight an evil AI and an army of shadow monsters.
We started getting back into that setting recently, and I've been making models of various characters from it, and wanted to share two of the more finished magi-mech characters, with both their human and mech form.
Rex the Lancer.
One of my girlfriends actually helped with the appearance and some of the concept.
This girl can fit so much NPD in her. Its actually part of why her mech's design has a crown that doubles as horns. Crown for NPD, seeing herself as above the other magi-mechs. Trying to prove she's the best while struggling with any kind of failure or being looked down upon. Horns because NPD gets demonized constantly.
The horns and red cape also double for a Bull motive, on account of her literally charging into things to impale them with a massive lance.
Razel the Sniper.
She's actually pretty uncomfortable being in her human form. She's small, fragile, clumsy. As a mech she's capable, powerful, and just all around much more confident.
Part of why her design has a lil dysphoria hoodie to it.
Her mech form meanwhile is designed to blend in with the pitch-black world outside of the cities. Concrete and rebar camouflage to blend in with torn down buildings. Black plating to look like gaps in those torn down buildings. And of course, red lighting to blend in with the shadowy monsters that lurk in the outside world.
I made a bunch of enemy designs for if I ever get to make my Magi-mech idea into a game.
