Baker’s Dozen had only been the family business Ginny Baker grew up with. She never expected her twenty-three-year-old self to be running it—or rather, it running her. After her father’s death, her mother’s waning interest, and her brother’s lack of commitment, the future of the coffee shop landed squarely on her shoulders. So by day, Ginny ran the place, which in turn ran her ragged; and by night, she tried her best to hold onto her own dreams and finish graduate school. But as the weeks bled into one another and the months went by, Ginny grew weary of her responsibilities. Not even a new business partner, the married Sanders couple, could ease the pressure felt by the young woman. Her life became monotonous and oh-so tiresome that she thought nothing would help her make it through. Until one night—well past closing time—a bearded stranger walked through her doors and changed her life.

I would rather be reaching out to my followers about anything in the world, but life is rarely fair. Around 6’o’clock yesterday (9/27/17) my 18-month-old goddaughter Ta’Leah passed away. I could talk about how she’s at peace or in a better place but I’m not strong enough to have that mindset yet. I’d give my life for hers a thousand times over without hesitation. But, again, life is rarely fair and we have to bury my baby.

As I’m sure all of you know, Fox in all its wisdom (note sarcasm) cancelled Pitch. As heartbreaking as this is, the cancellation of this wonderful show in no way diminishes my love for these characters or my love for the stories created in this fandom.  Now me personally, I’ve never needed my OTP to be canon to ship it, just like I don’t need the show to still be on the air for me to participate in the fandom (proud Spuffy shipper here).

With that being said, here is my promise to all the talented writers in this fandom, if you keep writing, I’ll keep reading and recommending, and together we’ll all keep the Bawson fandom alive.  (To take a peak at my first list of Bawson recs click here and for the second click here)
