Bonesteel is Steel that is created using bones of various creatures to supply the carbon. This makes the metal both normally tough, and supernaturally so. When Bonesteel is crafted, It imparts traits of the creature whose bones were used- such as Elephant Bones making the material heavier and tougher, Cat bones making it lighter and sharper, or Dragon bones making it hot and menacing.

Because of this spiritual imbuement, Bonesteel has an impact that isn't entirely just physical, hitting on a spiritual level as well, thus making it one of the few materials that can hit intangible targets such as ghosts or shadows.

Lastly, Bonesteel as a material is capable of being repaired without being reforged, simply requiring a source of Calcium (usually milk or bones). In order to repair Bonesteel, you require bones or milk to be powdered and then lay it into the broken sections of the blade, which will then slowly ossify and repair over the next few weeks.

If you use bones/milk of the same species as the Bonesteel was made from, the repair will be up to 10x as fast. For this reason, Bonesteel is often created at least in part with more common creature's bones.

However, while Bonesteel can technically be made with as many different bones as you desire, each species added intensifies the difficulty by a massive amount. Single creature Bonesteel is remarkably easy to craft, no harder than normal materials, but each one is around 5x harder.

2-Creature Bonesteel is 5x harder than a regular weapon, 3-Creature Bonesteel is 25x harder, 4-Creature Bonesteel is 125x harder, and so on.

Bonesteel is primarily used in 3 ways;

Weapons and Armor, imbuing fighters with the spirits of the bones used

Spellcasting Tools, enhancing the magic and it's effects with the spirits traits

Vehicles, allowing them to have capabilities unavailable to ordinary engineering

Special Notes

Astronite is a form of Steel created with Taenite, a magnetic iron-nickel alloy with unique patterns found exclusively in meteors. When done traditionally, this creates a beautiful and strong metal.

When imbued with Mana during the crafting process however, Astronite takes on several unique traits. Once it is treated and settles after forging, it becomes completely immune to heat and is always hot. If you try to heat it it will become red hot, but it will not damage the metal nor make it malleable. Because of this, it's primary weakness is that it shatters if super cooled- but you can piece it back and the heat will fuse itself together once more.

Because of it's inability to be reforged or changed by usual methods, it must be crafted perfectly the first time, and is considered one of the most challenging metals to work with.

Astronite is primarily used in 4 ways;

In Blades, cutting through things with ease as the heat tears apart it's target

As Stoves, able to cook things with ease and stay at a consistent temperature without fuel or get even hotter when needed by simply placing it above a fire

In Winter Clothes, as a thin lining suspended by clay or stone in water, which is then held in very thick leather. These are remarkably heavy overall, but can help withstand temperatures safely even at -100°C (-148°F). It is recommenced you do not wear these outside of Arctic Conditions, lest you overheat

In Engines or Heating Systems, providing consistent energy and warmth. This is typically used as the backup in the system rather than the primary method, allowing a backup store of relatively low-output but consistent energy in case of emergencies

Adamantine is a highly dense black metal. It forms from Iron and Tungsten underneath eruptions and large explosions, the heat and pressure melting the Iron and Tungsten down and super compressing them into an alloy, before cooling down over decades or centuries

Due to it's incredible weight and density, Adamantine tends to sink through any soft earth and deposits of it will sink to bedrock if formed in said soft materials

When treated with massive quantities of electricity, It becomes the single most magnetically charged material in the world, drawing metal towards it from several meters away and being incredibly difficult to separate. Due to this, Magnetic Adamantine is incredibly useful but requires careful use.

Weapons & Armor: It is extremely difficult to use due to it's sheer weight and magnetism, however if the wearer is strong enough to still move or doesn't need to move, it can make excellent armor that is almost impenetrable and resistant to most everything

Engineering: Along with basic uses such as house foundations, rebar, and structural pillars, it is also very useful for large things that undergo a lot of weathering such as aqueducts, dams, and town walls. However, due to the difficulty to harvest or make Adamantine only the richest of civilizations can make use of it in this amount
