But basically, I've been thinking about how people call Lissa, Molly, Shiloh, Chip, etc. "OCs," but to me, they aren't my "original characters". Yes, I have designs for them inside my head, but I leave their appearance vague on purpose when writing them to allow people to decide how they want to look as the hero or heroine of the story. If they were OCs, they'd have a full description from me, and I wouldn't use you/you're/your. They'd be using first person like Malakai does because Malakai IS an original character.

I use the "Reader" tag because it's the closest thing to what I think they are. However, I understand that because they have names, families, personalities and some backstory to them, people assume they're OCs, but that just offends my writer's heart! I kid, it's not that serious lol, but from now on, I think I'll refer to them as the MC or "main character".

Why am I doing this?

Because while an OC feels like it belongs to me specifically, for example, Paradox, Akzidenz and Rook are my OCs. They belong to me; they're my original characters, but Molly isn't. I feel like she belongs to all of us, not just me... if that makes sense? So, saying Molly is an MC or Main Character feels more accurate than calling her an OC! Those "Readers" or "Main Characters" belong to all of us, not just me. And that's my ramble!

...I'm still using the "Reader/" tag on Ao3 though, sue me.

If you wear glasses full time (not just like when you drive or read, but you gotta wear them all the time) does it make you cringe like heck when you watch a movie or TV show and a character with glasses holds their glasses in a closed fist type hold.

Like...no. No one with glasses would hold their glasses that way, you're gonna smudge the hell outta the lens and having to clean your glasses is annoying!

I just need to remember that I do this for fun, for free, and also for me. If others enjoy it then that's wonderful but if I enjoy it that's the goal. Don't ever do something you don't enjoy!

I also realize it's not personal, but the RSD (Rejection Sensitivity Dysphoria) likes to play hard. I'll be alright, I just wanted to vent! I know a lot of you enjoy my writing, and I'm choosing to focus on that instead.

I honestly have a hard time seeing them together beyond really close roommates If I'm being entirely honest.

I think Illari would be in something that has to do with Engineering, perhaps in the environmental science field.

Freja? I could definitely see either in a medical field study for helicopter search and rescue teams or anything in forensics.

I’ve been dealing with chronic pain flare ups; today was the first day I was able to get up and go. Met a sweet lady and her pup. I love this place. It feels great getting out to enjoy the flowers and birds.

Mush keeps reminding me I need to return to this connection. It’s been difficult since awakening more. I sense presences more abundantly. Energy feels louder. But I’m learning how to walk in the world again anew with my beloved’s aid.
