Well. I finally did it! Dunno why I decided to try it, I basically never do group dungeons or trials, but after splurging out on some monster shoulders from the golden vendor and getting a monster helm with some keys I seemed to have acquired from goodness-knows where, all because I liked the cool lava effect they gave, I thought I should get some use out of the new fancy equipment. Three days of misery later and my fire wizard and his elemental companion, Charcoal, managed to complete veteran Maelstrom Arena for the first time this afternoon!

I think poor Valeyn needs to take a nice long relaxing holiday now haha. I got a few interesting weapons, including a nirn-honed inferno staff which this character here will be very happy to use. Incidentally I was also quite pleasantly surprised because I managed to finish the arena with my own build, with blue food and using basic potions (except from the final boss of the final round, where I used a few of those crown store pots from rewards because I needed the extra resources back).
