+ i'm gonna say one thing i do enjoy about the darpc specifically is that no one is afraid to send memes.  i have so many memes in my inbox.  i will never be able to answer all of these memes even though i want to and while it's my own damn fault, it's so nice that people in this rpc actually send them???  idk why in others it's like pulling teeth sometimes because i have always been very liberal about putting my unwanted shit in someone's inbox.

+ i know everyone's allowed to write how they want, i know that.  but first and second person in rp makes no fucking sense to me.  none.  like i think of rp as a narrative two people are writing and when you use first and second person it throws me off so bad and i just.  am not about it.  runner up is a million spaces between words but that's because i literally have a lot of trouble reading it and have to edit it down so i can make sense of it otherwise my eyes hurt and it makes my brain overheat and shutdown.

+ i already talked about the cr thing and i stand by that.  it's such a useful little term, c'mon guys, it won't bite i prommy.  a hot take that might get me in trouble tho is:  look, i know it's frustrating when you really want to ship with someone and they want to feel things out first.  actually, i can only sympathize because i'm the feel things out first kind of guy.  but like…give it a go instead of writing them off?  patience is a virtue etc and like.  here's a secret, from me to you:  you can talk about it, plan things, do what if scenarios, and jump around in a timeline to a degree to see if it's gonna pan out, but sometimes characters need a little emotional foreplay before the ship and i feel like we'd all be a little happier and more obsessed with our ships if we did that.  (this is why i'm obsessed with my ships tbh i rotate them at all times.)

Lucanis had been staving off sleep for a while now, and the easiest way to keep it going was taking a walk. His feet had carried him through the Lighthouse while his mind turned in circles. When he'd eventually resurfaced, he'd been in front of Yennefer, watching her weave her spell with an elegance and confidence that wasn't common amongst all the mages he'd met.

"Apologies, my feet seem to have--" Words stop abruptly as there's a gentle prod at his mind and Spite suddenly surges. The demon inside him riles, possessive and protective in equal measures, batting at the presence like a cat, all claws.

madder mortem; jigsaw (the pattern and the puzzle) - hits buzzer what is emmrich and johanna's whole thing for five hundred.  like yeah johanna and emmrich absolutely match each other's freak (platonically) but that's not necessarily a good thing.  i'd argue she brings out his vengeful and vindictive streak in the worst possible way, because no one goes for the throat like people who used to be friends and now loath each other.

hungry lucy; journey - i mean i know i've talked a lot about how like…i feel like a lot of emmrich's hesitation for that final sifting of the soul is not just because he's not addressing his fear of death, but because he's coming to the realization he hasn't lived because of that fear, and joining the veilguard and getting exposed to everything he's only read about is kind of…a nudge in the direction of realizing there's still stuff for him to see and do he'd miss out on.
