that post about how the dungeon meshi lesbians aren't toxic yuri at all but it's maeko. mae and touko treat each other with a great deal of care and affection and respect and just because touko is tracking down and murdering anyone and everyone who had anything to do with mae's kidnapping + brutal experimentation as a child doesn't mean she's a toxic partner. that's just what you do for a woman with a fat ass

obviously I am attached to the canon version of maeko (which involves the TTRPG of my dear friend and mutual) however I really do have a soft spot for any kind of AU where Mae kinda just....... finds Touko like one might find a feral cat. I enjoy it even more so when Touko is less-than-heroic (resorting to crime/working with criminals to keep the Hand away, or having been forced into the Hand itself) and Mae still goes "no this one. this one is my favourite :D"
