Who’s doing #NaNoWriMo2016 this year?
I’m mostly just working on a FanFiction story (bless NaNoWriMo such a genre exists) because it’s been a year since I last wrote anything original, and I sadly couldn’t squeeze any of my own at the moment. But writing Fanfic is great practice. And who knows? I might just get back to writing my own stories next year. To be honest, I’m just glad that I’m able to write again.

1: Currently Reading There’s none at the moment because after Winter by Marissa Meyer, I’m still trying to get over a bloody hangover cause that book was so good. But I plan on reading Stars Above also by Marissa Meyer to quench my Lunar Chronicles obsession soon.
7: What is the most important part of a book, in your opinion? Character development, as well as world-building. I just find it hard when main characters don’t at least learn from their mistakes or at least develop at one point. Also, world-building is also very important because the place affects the characters greatly and without proper world-building; everything in a book just feels like a first draft.
9: If you were to publish a book what (besides your real name) would you use for your author name? Maedelle Summers. Has a nice ring to it, yeah? (yes, Maedelle isn’t my real name and really only like one half of my real name is in that long name haha).
16: Rant about anything book related The Crown by Kiera Cass. That’s it. That’s my rant. I literally have no words cause it was that terrible of a book ending. I honestly cannot fathom how awful it ended.
Why didn't you like Cass's "The Crown"? I want to buy a physical copy but I fear that I might end up not liking how the story will end.
If I could give you my physical copy of The Crown, I would. Because I really hated it. Straight-up regretted buying it with my own saved up money cause it was just that terrible to me. I have a lot to say about the book, and I actually want to write a review but I’m afraid it’ll just turn up into a rant instead of a book review. I was just extremely disappointed on how Kiera ended the story, and how the execution was awfully handled. This is my first time actually being disappointed by one of Kiera’s books, which just feels weird. Frankly, The Heir was better. I’d say buy at your own discretion. If you’re a die-hard fan of the books, go for it (oh, how the mighty have fallen when I bought my copy). But if not that much, settle for an e-book. Cheaper, and at a price that won’t make you sob if you end up hating every bit of the final installment.
Hello! I've only just found out about the booklr community and come across your blog, so forgive me if this is a stupid question. While reading your about page, I was surprised to see how much you despise the publication of 'wattpad books.' Could I ask you why? I don't know about many published wattpad books, but as far as I know wattpad is just a platform for writers to come together and share their work. What's wrong with that?
Not a stupid question at all. Wattpad stories in general are amazing. However, Wattpad books started getting “trendy” here in the Philippines. I get it, you know? Great platform for writing and sharing your idea to the world. I have a Wattpad account of my own. It’s just that... publication here was poorly executed. The stories they publish in the native tongue written by teenagers here are extremely illiterate. Not to mention all the insta-love stories. Legitimately, all the Wattpad books I’ve read written by fellow Filipinas/Filipinos that were published just made me gag because of all the insta-love and the poor execution of plots and characters. I literally threw one book (which was awfully given as a gift) in the trash cause it was that awful. Worst part is, some teenagers even tried to protest to use Wattpad books as a medium for studying literature in our Filipino subjects. And I’m just here like, “???? why the hell would you do that???” Personally, the stories published are repulsive and actually quite shameful. I mean, like what you like, people. But I just don’t get the trend of it all.

Alrighty, so I’m going to Lipa (a city like 3-5 hours away from Manila) for the whole week cause I’ll be binge-watching movies with my best friend from work, and will also be briefly meeting with my boyfriend (cause that little shit’s there too, but I kind of hate him right now [[long story]]). So in this case, I’ll just be queuing stuff for the whole week cause there’s zero internet where my best friend lives. I’ll be back around the 7th or 8th of May, at most. Just a little heads up. c: I’ll get to replies and replying to messages after my week from Lipa. :D

MAEDELLE LIVES c:
After several months, I have finally (finally) decided to resign from work. Yass! *fist bumps the air* It was a good six months, but I felt that it really dragged me away from my studies -- especially since I had a lot of major subjects to catch up on. So in lieu, my last day at work would be on April 9 (yass!! freedom!!). I’ve never felt so liberated, oh gawd.
But anywho, my big apologies to my partners @harleywrxtes, @tinwrites, @mapharp and @theassassinwrites! You guys probably wonder why I keep disappearing out of nowhere, and I’m so so sorry for not letting you guys know. Gah. :( But I hope you all understand the whole work thing. Now that I’m resigning and all, I’ve decided that apart from being away from my studies and all -- I’ve also been apart from two of the things I love to do: roleplay and write. And I hope you guys would still like to work on our current plots with me, even though it’s probably been forever. To be honest, I still have so much muse for all of my current muses. Honestly, rereading all of the threads just had me typing replies before I even wrote this post. But I totally understand if you guys would rather decide to drop the plot. I understand muses go away every once and a while, and I don’t want you to feel obligated to keep roleplaying with me if you don’t feel the plot anymore. It’s honestly good with me, cause I’ll love y’all still no matter what! c:
That’s it for now! I’ll probably start writing up a few plot bunnies or so to restart a little bit of this 1x1 blog. But I’m ramping this whole gig back up again cause roleplaying is life; and now that work’s almost done -- I’m free to go back to this awesome thing. Yass!! :D
Oh gods. I'm probably the most horrible roleplay partner and friend in the world right now. What I once promised replies for threads a few weeks ago turned into weeks of disappearing. I am so sorry!! Work really kicked me in the knickers and heck, we don't even have holidays off. Savage, right? But this is my MERRY CHRISTMAS to all of my partners ( @harleywrxtes, @tinwrites, @flitrps, @theassassinwrites, @mapharp ) and followers! I hope y'all have a lovely one and hope that you get all the presents this year! Enjoy yer holidays! :D
After weeks of hard work, I finally managed to function properly. Meaning, I’ve gotten used to my job. I mean, I’ll definitely resign soon -- but for now, I’m gonna settle with what I have.
