When was the last time you tried something new? Often I get stuck in my comfort zone which actually irritates me because I can see myself in it. Lying on a sofa watching films, as blissful as that is, I don’t want to do that at every opportunity. I’m lucky to have adventurous people around me. I say to my friends “lets go to Madrid” they say “what time?”. 

Trying something different doesn’t always require you to “stand out” either. Do it for you because you want to try it. To educate your palette. To allow your senses to explore. Stimulation is one of the most important things to life. It’s what creates the vibes. If you’re not stimulated you’re stuck in a bubble. 

It doesn’t have to be something as big as travelling. It can be tiny. Like trying a new recipe or listening to music from someone you don’t know. You won’t always like it but that should never stop you from trying. Everyone is unique. Learn what makes you so.

Before I start Im not taking shots. Im merely stating facts.

When I first started on this journey of creativity I was so excited to work and create with the wealth of people I considered to be "doing something". I've grown exponentially over the past few years through doing, trying, failing and triumphing (is that a word?). 

As you may have noticed I've taken a step back from filmmaking / creating. In fact I've taken a step back from being online. It's not because I've lost touch with that. I lost faith in the people. For a while things were incredible. There was incredible collaboration. But then the cracks start to show the closer you look. Now this isn’t about those cracks or even what went wrong. It’s about finding the people who are genuine. The silver linings within those grey, boring clouds. They are the ones who make the grey seriously worth it. You’ll continue to build and work. You’ll grow with each other and realise how mediocre things have become. Don’t be fooled by fools.
