That is a great quote. When did the idea that fiction was meant to be not offensive become so widespread? Or rather, widespread among the left ... conservatives never agreed with it anyway.
Dorothy has woken up so many times because Ruby and Toto woke up (Toto was barking) and both at high alert all because of a stupid cat or squirrel got to close to their home or someone miles away stepped on a twig and broke it. The only times only Toto will wake up to these small things are right after wolfstime where Ruby is basically dead to the world. Dorothy does find it cute how much Ruby loves it when she scratches her head when they cuddle.
They are already a family. And Ruby is the perfect step-mom to Toto.
This is Once Upon A Time nothing is off limits and they not ignoring characters when it makes no sense to not mention them. (Or they will mention them as awh shucks they must be out of town)

Don't forget the fact that Meghan found a way to not only have a different voice/body language and I swear eyes between Ruby and Red but she literally merged both characters together in season 2. No one else did it that well.

She actually created five versions of the same person, and they all fit perfectly into the mind of the character at the time of her life. You have Red: before and after controlling the wolf. You have cursed Ruby: before and after working for Emma and finding herself. And you have post curse Ruby, that is the very balanced mix of Red and Ruby.
She did a great job. It’s a shame the show insists on forgetting about her.
I would love to see how Ruby is handling a relationship I mean Red and Ruby both seemed completely surprised if someone even so much as seemed like they gave half a shit about her. But to have someone who actually loves her back and treats her like she should be treated? I need to see her being all insecure and Dorothy just like of course I don't like you having nightmares, why the hell would I Wolfie? Go back to sleep you're clearly delirious.

We’ve never seen Ruby like that. Sure, we had that interaction with Peter before the whole disaster, but that was a different person entirely. She was hopeful and naive.
This Ruby we have now has been marked by all that happened before, especially by the memory of what happened to Peter, so the question I need answered is: How does Ruby behave now that she found someone. Now that the ~universe~ proved to them that they’re True Love. My bet is that she’s still her insecure self now and then. That trauma is not one anyone would so easily forget or put aside because of a new love; it’s part of her now. And how much space does it take in their relationship?
Aaaarggh. I really hope they bring Dorothy and Ruby back so that we can see it all happening. I’m sure Meghan could bring all that complexity to life.
