And here we have a full Spider Lily Madora ref sheet done by the amazing bozrat! They were super amazing to work with and their art is just gorgeous (just look at those expressions!)
Some notes under the cut (just bc even though I have a nice transparent version to write on, my handwriting is really shitty):
1. If youâre asking why Madoraâs glove goes over her nails and fits, like, seemlessly over them, itâs because her glove starts to fuse with her body. So it starts out as a glove but around her forearm its just like no, this is just her now.
2. Her weird spinal column bit is attached to her actual spine. When her corruption levels get too high, mutates into just fuckinâ extensions of her bones
3. Yes, her coloration + corruption effect are inspired by FSN alters, and in particular a certain someone.......Â
idk thereâs probably more Iâll add but those are the first âweird thingsâ about her design I felt I should elaborate onÂ

So you talked about Madora and Marx in Fate servant classes, but what about their Noble Phantasms be?
Iâve talked about Marx here altho i did this mostly adhering to a regular grail war, and Iâll probably revisit it, taking into account Grand Order playstyle someday.
Since Iâve never elaborated on any Madoras tho, she gets the Grand Order treatment
Saber Madora -Â An arts AoE NP. Her sword, Jormungandr, who was said to be a god slayer, and with itâs light renewed hope in the people of Nohr. Extra damage against Divine, extra damage against Dragons, charges NP gauge.
Assassin Madora - A concentrated manifestation of the lengths she goes as a retainer - a single target arts NP that does extra damage against assassins, gives party guts to one HP for a turn and resist against insta-death for 3 turns
Lancer Madora - Buster, single target. An NP tied to a certain experience regarding Madoraâs existence as a Heroic Spirit of Hoshido, rather than Nohr.......Â
Ruler MadMarx - An Arts NP stemming from their divine rule and the golden era ushered in by the two
Avenger MadMarx - Â Buster, single target. The manifestation of Madoraâs power having resisted Anankosâs control and instead absorbed his essence. Unleashes the full potential of the blood of Anankos.
Caster Madora - Buster, AoE; An anti-world NP befitting a being who is no longer even classified as Divine Spirit, but something that could be mistaken for âGodâ.Â
Rider Madora - Quick, an NP based on the wish and belief of a pure-hearted girl that hard work will be recognized. AÂ âwhat-ifâ born of a girl before she was broken.
Archer Madora - Quick LOVE ARROW SHOOOOOOOOT
I was gonna carefully name all of them and give them descriptions but it was taking too long and halfway through I decided I also wanted to think abt skills n stuff lol
so. expect fake character sheets on all these madoras
this post was gonna be âwhat if madora had a trick weaponâ but then halfway through i was like nah fuck that this is her legitimate sword, Ouroboros
so since in the Twins universe, there are two holy swords (well.... ok 4 counting the older brothersâ but those dont count), the fire emblem is two swords that have their Powers Combined.................. so why not literally make them two swords that can be put together
So Ouroboros then is this massive greatsword Madora can swing around, fully powered with ~salvation magic~. But then she can separate the core of the sword (like. itâs a sword inlaid upon another sword basically), granting her a particularly shaped greatsword that has a hole in the middle (actually kinda reminiscent of Siegfried, which is fitting). This makes it much lighter, so as sheâs already trained herself to wield a greatsword with comparable speed to smaller/shorter swords, she can wield the transformed greatsword incredibly quickly without losing too much of itâs bite. Then the core becomes a sword much like the Lightning Sword in Dynasty Warriors - aka an extra long rapier like sword focused on thrusting
Flowers that bloom naturally under cover of Nohr gloom are highly coveted and will be protected as symbols of hope and tenacity.
When Madora fails to kill an enemy, all allies within a two tile radius gain +4 to Strength, Magic, Skill, and Speed until their next action. Alternatively, when in guard stance, she has the option to step from the frontline after failing to kill an enemy on her own turn - having her partner take her place - to boost them by +6 to all stats, Crit and Hit +20, Avoid -20. Either option also results in +%10 of health to either her allies or partner.
Is it not the Queenâs duty to spearhead the frontline? And when the Queen showers mercy upon even an enemy, is it not simply natural for her subjects to be rallied by such a display? And, in their own Nohrian way, with fast beating hearts, clutching blade or tome to breast, shall they not partake in their own brand of mercy - the swift dealing with of enemies in the name of their Queen? Of course, enemies of Her Highness tell a different story - one of the bloodied Nohr Queen drawing the first blood to whet the appetite, drawing fast her followers into mania and seducing them into the thrill of the hunt. If that is the truth inside their hearts, who might oppose it? Surely not the Queen. And in between that depraved and vicious visage, and the countenance of mercy and magnanimity - perhaps that is where the true queen lies.
All the Queenâs horses and all the Queenâs men cannot put what is broken together again.
is there such thing as a ref sheet in progress bc if so. this is one. I wanted to add a whoooooole bunch more, like alternate angles of the bodice and variations on her dress..... but im rly crunched for time lately bc of Adult Responsibilities and i needed this for a commission hhhhahahah
so uh. expect a better version of this....... someday. notes under the cut
1. Always has a flower in her hair. Can be literally any flower. Although If I could draw anything that looks remotely like a flower, Iâd probably draw a camellia/gardenia or a lily usually.
2. Lots of hair. soooooooo much hair. pieces usually cut blunt, but at an angle to give a very sharp appearance
3. Focal point eyes. Hair fringe and facial markings accentuate eyes.
In general, her face is very sharp. Her fringe is cut to a point, her eyes are sharp and focused - not quite tsurime though. Facial markings literally just Marxâs circlet cut in half.

lmao itâs late-ish and im too tired to do anything too productive but not sleepy enough to sleep so have some shit about the twins instead. I decided to talk about Madoraâs sword bc Yatogami is so significant to the story, I had to make a sister sword to it so both twins could have plot relevance and a couple people asked me before what sword Madora would use.
under a cut bc itâs longish and no one cares l m a o (also discussion about Yato no Kami aka where the name Yatogami comes from and idk if that counts as spoilers even tho im talking about the actual legend and not anything in-game really)
ALRIGHT SO. before talking about Madoraâs sword we gotta examine the significance of Yatogami because you gotta understand the themes there to understand why Madoraâs sword is itâs counterpoint.Â
So basically, the tale of the Yato no Kami is as such - Thereâs this guy named Matachi and he clears a reed plain for the sake of making new rice fields for the people to grow rice on bc you know. Food is a thing people need. So everything is chill, but then!!! Surprise! These things called Yato no Kami show up. Like. Tons of them. And theyâre these snake things with horns on their heads. And theyâre total assholes, gathering in these new rice fields and keeping people from tending to their crops.
By the way, did I mention it was said that if one looked back at the Yato no Kami while fleeing them, their entire house and kin would be wiped out and they would have no descendants, thus essentially exterminating their family line? Yeah. Thatâs a thing.
Anyway Matachi was (rightly) pissed about this so he gears up and takes a spear and is generally not even in the vicinity of fucking around and he hunted them down until they retreated into the mountains. Then he took a stick and planted it in a ditch and basically said:Â âYou can have the land above the stick as your own, but the land below it is for the people. Iâm gonna become a priest to worship and revere you so like. Please donât fuck with us anymore.â
SO YEAH. Thatâs the origin of this fucking sword. We got serpent symbolism and gods being utter fuckwads to humans (and familial extinction hahhahaHAHAHAHAH THANKS IS WAY TO BE SUBTLE)
Yatogami in game is treated as a holy relic wherein a god may or may not actually reside (just like Ryoumaâs âRaijin Gatanaâ (Thunder God Sword) or Takumiâs âFuujin Kyuuâ (Wind God Bow)). Furthermore, it is repeatedly said to be able to save the world or destroy it depending on who were to wield it. However, it chooses itâs user, ultimately.
So to summarize it is:
a sword that ambiguously houses a kami
divine, so probably not man-made
chooses itâs user
tied to serpents
tied to kami that did not do nice things for humans
Keeping all of that in mind, letâs move on to Madoraâs sword.
Firstly, it is made from the pieces of Ganglari (if you arent keeping up with the game, something happens that causes Ganglari to break), reforged by Madora herself, using bits of her own old practice sword to make up for pieces that couldnât be found. The sword is literally made of her own blood, sweat, and tears (sweat because of her training sword going into it, blood because she bleeds on it to form a blood pact with it since it has the tendency to..... act up, and tears because [spoilers]).
MINOR SPOILERS IN THIS PARAGRAPH BUT IM BEING VAGUE. Ganglari is filled with some sort of... dark power that is Not a Fun Time. So basically, for the first few chapters Madora has it, it âacts upâ and she controls it through sheer force of will (and blood pact) up until the beginning of Chapter 9, where, in the beginning of the chapter, it sticks itself into the ground again and starts to do the Bad Thing. Marx tries to pull it out to stop it, but he canât, and Madora, kinda freaking out because she will not have a repeat of last time so she runs up and forces it out sword-in-the-stone style, forcing whatever fuckin demon magic is in there, out. END SPOILERS
It isnât until she meets the Rainbow Sage tho that heâs able to properly baptize the sword so it becomes a proper holy weapon. I mean, itâs by her own determination that itâs able to be recognized as a sacred weapon, but heâs the one that formally blesses it as such. She then christens it with the name âJormungandrâ
So why Jormungandr?
Firstly, all the Nohr holy weapons have the names of figures from Norse mythology (Siegfried, Brunhilde, even Ganglari/Gangleri).
Secondly - Jormungandr (or the midgard serpent) is one of the major players in Ragnarok aka the End of the Gods, and, in particular, is Thorâs mortal enemy. Now, it being a player in Ragnarok already makes it Yatogamiâs anti-thesis as it is a sword to slay the gods. However it has the added bonus of wrecking Thor, god of thunder, too and guess who has the Thunder God Sword. thatâs right, get fucking rekt Ryouma.
So, following the historical connotations, we have Yatogami, whose legend stems from a dude who deified the Yato no Kami and revered them in order to protect his people. So we have a kind of âbe indebted to the gods for the sake of peaceâ thing going on, while Jormungandr has a sort of âkill the gods at the cost of no longer having their protection, but being freeâ (since Thor was the âprotector of manâ (not exactly it for either of them, by way of legend, but it fits with each twinâs ideology so)
Then of course, since Jormungandr here is a stand-in for basically all of Ragnarok, it also fits because Ragnarok brings about the âperfect darknessâ, Ginnungagap, which fits because Anya (aka Nohr) literally translates into âDark Nightâ. But, from that perfect darkness comes creation, and thus a new cycle begins, representing how Nohr is not evil even if it is âdarknessâ.
Also Jormungandr is a serpent that is so large it wraps around the world. thereâs not too much to that, but I think it rly represents Madora? Like, she wants to take the entire world under her wings to protect it, but itâs not feasible, and the one person who got the brunt of that (Brutus) was stifled because of it.
SO FROM THAT WE HAVE, FOR JORMUNGANDR:
god-slayer
mad-made sword
overpowered by user;must be worthy by merit/conquest rather than birthright (ahaha see what i did there)
tied to serpents
tied to monster who slayed the gods which sounds like a Bad, but allowed for rebirth/another cycle so
ANYWAY - another reason Jormungandr is a good and the perfect foil to Yatogami is that, together, they cancel each other out. When Madora and Brutus cross swords, not as enemies, but allies, Jormungandr cancels out all that âfamilial extinctionâ shit because itâs a god-slayer, but Yatogami in turn âslaysâ Jormungandr bc u kno. Jormungandr mightâve slayed a god but was in turn slayed itself, and thus prevents the event wherein mankind cannot be protected (THAT WAS PHRASED RLY WEIRDLY BUT I NEED IT LIKE THAT FOR SOMETHING IM GONNA TALK ABOUT ANOTHER DAY). so ye the two cancel each otherâs bad shit out.
BUT THEN thereâs also the symbolism of two serpents. You know what two serpents entwined is usually attributed to? A caduceus. Symbols of knowledge, healing, life/death, and in mythology, wielded by Isis, Thoth, and Hermes, who all acted as messengers between the divine and humanity (some more than others coughHermescough)
Further taken by the twins having wing motifs (Brutus as a pegasus warrior and Madora thematically being compared to valkyries)
