I did and it was freaking glorious :D (although sadly, no good pics :( ) But still... Day. Made.

I got tagged by merlinmac-cheese, and I'm procrastinating packing (yet again), so why not?

1. If you could live in the universe of any of your fandoms, which would you pick and and why?

Harry Potter, definitely. (Preferrably post-War). Because MAGIC! Seriously, I've always wanted to try Potions (and yes, this is my hidden chemistry nerd coming out. Okay, perhaps not so hidden).

2. How did you get into fandom? Any hilarious stories of discovered fanfiction for the first time?

I was into fanfiction way back in the Quizilla days; heck, I don't even remember what my first fanfiction/fandom was. Probably Harry Potter, I think. Although I do believe that there was a little bit of Meg Cabot's "The Mediator" thrown in there too.

3. What is your dream job?

I don't know...? Genius billionaire playboy philanthropist, my friend says. No, but seriously, I'd like something with lots of travel and an opportunity to continue my public speaking. Oh, and food; food would be nice. Seriously, if someone can pay me to do science and talk about food while travelling, I'll love them forever. Perhaps I should just start my own show on The Food Network... 

4. You’re stranded on a desert island and can only have 3 movies, which ones do you pick?

Huh. I actually don't watch a whole lot of movies, but... X-Men: First Class (I would entertain myself by making up commentary), Chicago (if I were really that bored, I'd start learning all the routines), Million Dollar Baby (in case I need to bawl. Also, lemon meringue pie).

5. Do you collect fandom merch (action figures, posters, etc..)?

Alas, I am about to become a poor college student, so no. Although... SHERLOCK IPHONE CASE. That's about it.

6. If you had a day with one celebrity, what would you choose to do?

Okay, so this took a while to think about, but I'd have to pick John Green. I mean, I'm a huge fan of Benedict Cumberbatch and everything, but I'd just find it really really awkward to talk to him, seeing as how my entire blog is well... you get the picture. So yeah, I'd love to just sit down with John Green and pick his brain for a day about everything. And I do mean everything. 

7. Are there any fandoms from your past that you’re embarrassed about having been in? 

Ummm.... err... *cough* Twilight *cough*. I'M SORRY.

why i like them: He's awesome durhurhur? Also because his seiyuu is awesome and holy crap his plans in plans in plans are epic and he astounds me with his brilliance. Also, hot.

why i don’t: He's a jerk. Also has sort of a siscon, which is not super bad but just a bit weird.

favorite episode (scene if movie): All of them When he outwits everyone with his master plan at the end of the second season.

So I introduced my friend to the first episode of Sherlock.

And she's pretty experienced with fandoms and the like, but she's not in the Sherlock one yet (having only watched one episode), so we were talking about fics in her fandom when I mentioned Alone on the Water. 

And then put it on her phone and made her promise to read it.

The day after, I go around whispering "Still the only one in the world" whenever I see her.

1. If you could only eat salty or sweet food for the rest of your life, which would you pick and why?

Sweet. I have a huge sweet tooth. Plus, you can have sweet entrees (eg. sweet potatoes, which are delicious!), but you can't have salty desserts (other than caramel, and let's face it, that's only in small doses).

2. How would you react if you found a fellow fan in real life?

Luckily, this isn't a hypothetical situation! I've found fans at my high school, and it goes a bit like this:

Hyperventilate because OH MY GOD THAT PERSON LIKES SHERLOCK TOO

Open my mouth to smother them with a barrage of questions about their favourite moments/characters/whatever

Realize with horror that they might not be as into it as I am

Spend a night in fretful paranoia and social awkwardness before embarking on a cyberstalking routine to find out the length of their obsession

So far, I've found two "normal" fans and one fangirl. Guess which one I hang out the most with?

Oh, this is hard...

Stephen Fry (because discussions with him would be so enlightening, I feel)

Herve This (he's basically the father of molecular gastronomy, and I would love to just discuss science and food with him!)

Benedict Cumberbatch (I'm sorry, but I had to. I mean, come on; have you seen my blog?)

4. What do you do when you’re sad?

It depends. If it's a rather trivial thing, a bit of Tumblr combined with some good fics and it's all better. If it's something really bad (the recent MIT rejection comes to mind), I walk around moping in a blanket all day, call a friend or two to rant/cry, but it's usually better within a few hours. It helps that I have awesome friends that take me out for breakfasts the day after to cheer me up

5. What are your top three favorite songs?

Oh god. The thing is, I'm not a huge music person in that I'll listen to virtually anything without caring much one way or the other. But at the moment...

I have to admit, I'm a sucker for the luxurious, jet-setting lifestyle. So a successful businesswoman who is currently on vacation...? XD

Asperger's, probably. Mind you, I already have hypothyroidism and thalassemia minor, but I don't think that's what you're looking for, is it?

(This question confuses me. I'm assuming you're asking if I have anyone from real life as a Tumblr friend?) madness42 and eclipsareon (the latter has a tumblr just so that she can stalk me more effectively. She's also probably the one I'm referring to if I talk about a friend who's encouraging me to write fic/play Yellow Car/do anything fannish in real life).

Food. And talking. God, I talk a lot.
