“Brrrr. Why is this country so goddamn cold?” Maddie complains, hovering her gloved palms in front of her mouth and nose to shield her from the frigid wind.

“It's this new thing we've just discovered”, Rosh answers, and from the shit-eating grin on her face, Maddie can tell she's about to say something dumb. “It's called winter.”

Maddie rolls her eyes at her girlfriend. “Shut up and warm me up.” She hugs Rosh’s waist and buries her face in her shoulder.

Maddie wasn't exactly invited to this wedding, but she's not about to pass up an opportunity for free food when Felice is catering.

Meanwhile, Rosh is on high alert for paparazzi. Is she being prudent or just paranoid when she spies someone who clearly shouldn't be here?

oooh Madirosh hasn't crossed my mind in a hot minute!

"Tarot? Seriously?" Madison didn't need to look up to know that Rosh was wearing that smug look on her face. "I'll have you know that tarot is a perfectly normal aspect of witchcraft." Rosh scoffed, but still took a seat on the floor beside her. "A bunch of hooey if you ask me." Madison flipped the card upright, a smirk growing on her own face. "The lovers, huh? Who do you have a crush on?"

Thunder rumbles outside while Maddie, Rosh, Felice, and Sara are lying across the mattresses spread out in Felice’s room. “Is anyone else as bored as I am?... Ooh, I know! Let’s get the Ouija board”, Maddie says. “Not again”, Felice complains but Maddie gets it out of her bag.

Not much later they are sitting in a circle waiting in anticipation for something to happen after Maddie asked a question. Suddenly a loud thunderclap makes the windows shake. Maddie wraps her arms around Rosh who is sitting next to her. “I’m sorry”, she says shy, both exchanging a meaningful smile.

When they found themselves on the dating show The Girlfriend together, Maddie and Rosh agreed to pretend to get together, just to be able to go on all the fancy dates that couples get to enjoy. But now, three weeks later, things are starting to feel very real....

Thank you @grapehyasynth for this idea and pairing :D I had SO much fun writing it. I'd been wanting to write a dating show AU for forever, and this one is partly inspired by season 2 of The Boyfriend. Also I had never really thought about Maddie and Rosh before but I totally get it now, I'm in love with them <3
