Yūji's gotten a lot better at communication. And letting herself openly care about people. And verbalizing those feelings!

I love the odd dynamic between Maddog and Yūji. She's such a powerhouse and everything he was raised to fear (mutant, outsider, threat to the status quo, literal mass murderer), but she also is so kind. And has been extremely kind to him in particular. And he's so many things that she'll never be; good with tools and machinery, an engineer, a man with deep community ties.

Not to mention he might be part Nebulan? Maybe? It's unclear? But even if he is, she's not going to hold that against him, nor let anyone else do so within her power (Despite being empowered by a being that is supposed to protect Earth from such invasive alien threats.)
