Oooh, he's plotting something while looking cool
I made Mad Rex's jacket into more of a cape because I got tired of drawing it
An Archive of Our Own, a project of the Organization for Transformative Works
Blonko has a lot on his plate right now- let’s just hope he can keep his head as he gathers a plan
The backstories for the Alternate Rex’s are coming along very slowly but I’ll try to finish them up as soon as possible. In the meantime have some art and facts about my most developed Rex: Mad Rex.
Basic Rundown of Mad Rex: -Him and Mad Ben had “united” when they were 13 and he trusted him like a true friend would -Soon that trust was shattered when M. Rex is thrown into prison for something M. Ben had done and there he was locked away for 3 years -The trust soon turns into vengeance and M. Rex trained everyday since then so that when he finally gets out he’ll take out the boy who gave him this injustice easily -He has a serious grudge against M. Ben and will stop at nothing until he’s taken out -Has serious anger issues(hence the reason he’s called “Mad Rex”) -Thanks to M. Ben, M. Rex won’t trust anyone now(not even his own flesh and blood) -Talks in a fake British accent(basically talks like Gordon Ramsey) -His nanite vain lines(the lines that glow when Rex is about to form a build) are red -M. Rex is someone M. Ben genuinely fears but he wasn’t concerned about it at first because he didn’t know that someone was going to break him out. When M. Rex was broken out, M. Ben was legit fearing for his life -The providence in M. Rexs world is actually terrified of him as well(even White Knight is a little scared of him) so when he was framed they kept him in a highly secured prison cell so that he could never get out(they basically treated him like Tai Lung from KFP)
Paradox: How did it go in the Mad Dimension?
Ben Prime: Weeeeeell…it was a little bit of a bumpy ride.
Rex Prime: A.K.A Mad Rex threw Mad Ben out of a window.
Ben 23: More liked kicked out of a window!

Mad Rex actually has a unique build that Rex doesn’t have and it’s called “Crash Hat”(this is actually an unused idea for one of Rexs builds in the show). It works the same way as Jaspers helmet does.
Debating whether or not each alternate Rex should actually have their own unique build now, damnit
Okay, but how would Mad Rex react to a reformed Mad Ben is my question.
Well, I’m unsure for the most part but part of the way I see it is that Mad Rex is just so blinded by hatred that he wouldn’t care, even if Mad Ben had become a saint Mad Rex would still want to kill him.
I mentioned this before but Mad Ben never wanted Mad Rex to get thrown into jail, at that time M.Ben had actually considered M.Rex his only friend. So, Mad Ben already feels bad that he landed his only true friend in jail.
Im still trying to figure out how they would exactly mend their broken friendship or if they would even mend it at all so don’t expect a solid answer just yet.
So, how do the different territories of the Mad dimension (in Madly Broken AU) communicate with one another? I don't know if phone lines still exist in that universe, but maybe morse code?
Part of the problem is that only about 40% of the human population survived the initial Water Crisis, the Gem Drainage, the Cryptid Revolt, AND the Nanite Event.
A lot of cell towers and power lines are still up- there just isn't anybody to run maintenance on them outside certain regions.
Rex's trade settlements have trained people/EVOs for that so that they can still communicate to one another.
Ben's territories typically use alien communications devices, and though there connection to the Extranet is spotty, they work so long as they've got charge.
Zak's areas are typically technological dead zones, though the cryptids have their own ways of communicating with one another fairly quickly.
The most common route to deliver a message is to pay someone from a messenger fleet (most of which are under Rex's control) to deliver it.
There are also a lot of abandoned Gempiran stations- but their useless unless you have a gem with you, alive or weapon-imbedded.
Hence why Connie is so expensive to hire.
