Advice to Designers: Never Flinch (but then scramble and learn)
EYMER DESIGN was started in 1989âright in the midst of an extremely stagnant economy (sound familiar). My wife/partner, Selene Carlo-Eymer, and I had been married for 3 years and both found ourselves out of work and pounding the pavementâfirst separately and then as a team.
 It wasnât long before one project lead to another, and another, and another. What was one of our secrets? If a prospect ever asks if you have created a particular type of project before, always confidently spout out the wordâYES!
 Sure, there were many moments when we secretly thought, âWhat have we gotten ourselves into?â As trained problem-solvers, we dug in and did our research. After all, sometimes not having the âusual bag of tricksâ to reach into, meant that we had plenty of room to explore and innovate. This is when the fun really starts!
