“I have played this game before, yes. It has been a fair while since I have partaken however. There are a great many things I know of and can understand, more than silly games of course.” Alice hadn’t really had enough companions in one place for a proper card game of Uno, let alone any that were sane enough for the long haul of such a thing. She then lifted her hand to lightly hold her chin and ponder.

━━▻ Energy and color swirl in distinct patterns. The shapes of the people she had become familiar with. Each their own hue and frequency. In a way, losing her sight made it easier to identify people. Objects, a little less so. As they swirl and sway, all things are made of aether. Even machina. All she must do is is become used to the patterns. She may never again see the sunrise or the features of people around her, she can see the world enough to function. To work. And that is what she does. When things get difficult, she works. She toils away to forget the ache within her chest. 

━━▻ They had all been trying to find a cure for their friend. Though she knew of the pain and the risk of taking in the light aether, she allowed it. She told herself he seemed fine. As his aether became impossible for her to recognize, the patterns warping and turning into the brightest white she had ever seen, she knew. She knew it would kill him. 

━━▻ After another attempt at searching, she returned to his side. Even if she gave up healing since arriving here, she still carried the mentality. Ever since he collapsed on Mt. Gulg, things had seemed grim. Ryne did what she could. But she was concerned about him. Despite what some may think, he is still but a man. She wished her sight allowed her to read his feelings. So she wouldn’t have to ask. 

━━▻ Entering his room in the pendants was stifling. The window was shut to block out the primordial light seeping through the window. Despite the stark white aether on the bed before her, it felt odd to know the cause was sleeping peacefully in this very room. Or as peacefully as he could. She had never seen him drop to the ground in pain before. 

 “Are you awake?” She asks softly, as to not wake him if he was not. 

━━▻ She slowly closes the distance, not waiting for an answer. She lays a gentle touch on his forehead. The boiling aether inside of him likely giving him something akin to a fever. 

“I am simply checking on you. You are not to leave this room... Understand?” A command meant to sound firm comes out shaking. 

 “My apologies stranger. I have not known you were so close by when I made the jump.” so there is this open fire, and some drying out of clothes on his spear slash polearm right now thats holding up a cothes line. 

There was a lot of blood involved, lets just say.

            unique crimson eyes scan the table of a merchant’s fine goods, necklaces, bracelets, earrings && all the tiniest little knick knacks you could ever wish for. window shopping to pass the time, whilst the Warrior of Light did his browsing of the markets, mentioning to her that he needed to get something important, but not bothering indulging her on what it was. after a moment, or two idling by a local merchant’s stall, a call beckons to her, none other than the Eikon-slayer, arms filled with differently colored socks... dark brow arches quizzically to his odd spending methods.

“I have to agree, this time.” he nodded, as he usually did. The wound definitely looked a bit on the dire side. It had to be taken care with much more dedication than just placing a band aid. “What did you get yourself into, this time?”

It would’ve been hard to pinpoint if she had been slaying a primal or just taking care of a horde of monsters by herself, maybe something in between or both at the same time. She was completely capable of impossible feats like those. It was a bit shocking to see such a wound so freshly gained, while she stood her ground back at the Rising Stones.

“Come on, let’s make it better, yeah?” Meteor asked for permission before doing anything. For all he knew, she could just use her magics to heal herself or so. Maybe even ask for Y’shtola to help instead? Even so, offering his help came as easily as breathing. So, like a small obedient minion, he observed her and the wound she had gain in hopes that she would allow him to make it a bit better.

A quiet huff of pained amusement left her as she clutched the wound on her left arm. “What indeed.” She took a deep breath trying to steady herself and not focus on the pain that seemed to burn her entire arm. She knew not how deep the slash was only that it hurt like hell. “The monsters that have taken up residence on the Island of Eureka, the larger ones, in particular, are quite... bloodthirsty.”

Taking her hand to wipe the sweat collecting on her forehead away, she inhaled sharply as the pain in her arm spiked. Her ears flattened to her head as her fist on her uninjured arm clenched tightly, her nails biting into her palm as she tried to ignore the burning. By the twelve, can the burning not be from poison please. Taking another deep breath, she held it for a moment before letting it out. “Mayhap it wasn’t the brightest idea to take them on alone.”

||  “I have never felt so helpless before, as I did back then.” ||

The son of Allag paused in the midst of performing general maintenance on his staff as he heard those words from his friend. His brow furrowed as he cast his eyes downward in thought.

“Neither it was on mine to see you stabbed. But, I feel it is a great opportunity to show your prowess, is it not?” 

Everyone knew she was a master of all things involving healing magic and other traits related to it. It was for this reason that she was so respected and revered around. Her dedication to this role and to healing each and every one of her comrades or strangers, it was something many grew to admire. Meteor included, he wanted to witness that drive of hers, and what better moment than to see herself heal her own wounds?

 “If you’d rather I try and help you with my sloppy healing skills, though, I could give a hand.” he offered himself, chuckling nervously. Compared to her, he could barely do anything to keep the wound in check, but of course he would try if she allowed. “What happened, anyway?” 

Sweat began beading on her skin as she held her hand over the bleeding wound in her side. Her breathing was labored as she needed to clear her head to focus on borrowing the energy of the elementals. She winced as she pulled her hand away, to see how bad it was.  “A failed attempt at mugging me.” She grunted as she put her hand back over the wound. She tilted her head back and closed her eyes. Better me than him I guess... She thought. Cyra needed to slow her breathing before she could even begin to cast on herself. His comment made her chuckle. She audibly cringed at the sharp pain in her side when she did. “Indeed, friend...indeed.” Her skill was great, she couldn’t deny that. Her power was still lacking in the potency she desired despite her efforts to master all three healing disciplines.
