Well, it's over.  I'm reasonably sure that Mac and Keli aren't dead, but they aren't safe either.  It could be years before we hear from either of them again, and I don't know how their time in the Twisting Nether will change them.  They're too far away to be summoned by name, and the portals on the worldlet that the Council of the Black Harvest conquered don't extend to any of the Legion worlds.  Zack thinks that we can use the Legion portals in the Nighthold to to go after them, but the Alliance siege still hasn't taken it, and who knows how long before the University will get access?

A few days ago, Mac told me we had a contract to take down the Cult of Kalris. That didn't make much sense at the time as the Society does retrievals, not full-scale military operations, especially since Mac and Elvae never built that merc army they'd been going on about.  I realized that the Cult must have been one of Mac's old enemies when half of the faculty of Stormwind University came to help with the assault: @caniell-lyca , Zack, Lupin, Elvae, Judenny, Vyliona, and someone they called Alu. We didn't know until we had cut halfway through a swarm of demons that they'd kidnapped Mac's daughter, Dahlia.  We had to get past Mac's great-uncle, a diabolic kitten, an airship, and Gods-damned mind control to chase down the head of the cult, Roxburgh, who was, of course, another old enemy of Mac's.  He was holding Dahlia at knife-point and threatening to sacrifice her to Kalris.  Fortunately, she is a prodigy with the Light, or the whole foray would have turned out to be even more tragic than it was.

Roxburgh ended up sacrificing himself to bring the doomguard Kalris through from the Twisting Nether.  We were able to destroy Kalris, but the portal turned out to be more complicated.  It was one of those that had to be sealed from both sides more-or-less at the same time.  Mac and I were the only warlocks and he insisted on going through to the Nether.  Keli jumped in after him, which should give him a better shot at surviving uncorrupted, but Caniell will have to figure out how to take care of Dahlia until we can recover them.
