Baby Red-fronted Macaws almost seem like a different species! But when they have the 1st big molt around 5 months, it’s a pretty amazing color transformation that only gets better with age. 💚❤️🧡 1st pictured is the baby female (nicknamed Pepper) looking pretty ragged as she molts her baby feathers & the red and orange start to come in. She is alongside a little bit older baby (nicknamed Rocko) who is well on his way to more beauty.
