had my last interview with mac today. it was a demo + verbal interview.
i was shaking and they could tell i was nervous but they were so nice and welcoming. i was told i did great and i was the only artist today that actually taught my client what to do and i was the only one with excellent customer service skills which is what they told me they were looking more for. they even asked me if I've ever worked for a makeup counter because i was talking and teaching as if i have. i think they really liked me but who knows. i hope i get at least a freelance position with them. I've never wanted something so much in my life.
mac interview in two days. excited. not even nervous anymore. yay!

I'm actually really nervous about this MAC thing! I'm suppperrrrr excited! But I'm also very very nervous. I'm watching videos on YouTube of girls talking about their MAC interviews and stuff like that, and it's so nervewracking! If I get an interview there which is still very doubtful, BUT STILL, I will be sosososoo nervous!
Apparently what they do is the make you come in for a "makeup interview". You bring a friend to act as your model, and the person giving you the interview literally takes a magazine, tears out a page, and makes you replicate the look on that page on your "model". They do give you all their makeup to use and as well, all of their brushes. But you have to take all your own initiative on how to base their skin, on what primer to use, and what colors best match the ones in the magazine cut-out. It's all to be done in 30 minutes. They then critique your look, ask you how you think you did, and tell you what you can do better on.
After the critique of your makeup, if they like what they have seen, they apparently give you a pen and say " sell this pen to me " with like, the most blank and intimidating face ever. XD I'm not really good with words so I'm friggen nervous about that. :c Ugh idk man, IDKKKK MAANNNN. I'm just reallll nervous, but I fucking want this so bad. I really do. And I want to do good and I know this job will make me so happy.
