Hailing from Cleveland, these indie-rockers are known for their inventive punk rock sound. Originally the solo project of singer-songwriter Dylan Baldi, Cloud Nothings has since evolved into a full band known for their infectious hooks and energy. Their two most recent albums, Attack on Memory (2012) and Here and Nowhere Else (2014), have both earned critical acclaim and featured in multiple publications’ album of the year lists, including Pitchfork, Rolling Stone, SPIN, and The A.V. Club. Since the release of Here and Nowhere Else, the band has performed at Bonnaroo and Pitchfork in addition to headlining a successful solo tour through Europe, Australia, and Japan. Their most recent project, a collaborative album with Wavves, was just released this summer.

How To Dress Well is the project of Chicago’s own singer-songwriter Tom Krell. Krell’s sound incorporates elements of R&B, indie pop, and electronica, with highly technical production and emotionally charged lyrics. Coming off of two acclaimed studio albums from 2010 and 2012, Krell’s latest album, What Is This Heart? (2014), is widely recognized as his most inventive and personal to date. This release has earned an 8.8 rating from Pitchfork and the “Best New Music” designation in addition to favorable reviews from Metacritic, SPIN, and others. To support the album, the band embarked on a highly successful world tour during the summer of 2014, selling out shows in Canada, Europe, Australia, and Asia. Currently, Krell is working towards a Philosophy PhD at Depaul University, perhaps contributing to his musical work’s intensely meditative perspective.
