To this day they think I was hiding from them (I did that too often, so not an unreasonable assumption), but I wasn't. I wandered off a bit, not far, and found the pit and was just watching the sky filtering through ferns and spruce trees.

FENNOCORE is forest and lakes and things lurking there. It’s bears and vipers and corvids, it's jumpers, and fields of rye and barley.

MAAHISCORE is moss and stones and things abandoned by (or nicked from) humans, it’s mushrooms and berries, it’s torn and mended clothes, it's holes in the ground and basket made out of roots.

MÖKKICORE is small and old log cabins, it’s scruffy outhouses with old posters on the walls, it’s rugs woven from rags, it’s mosquitoes and citronella smoke,  it’s wind chimes and knick-knacks hung from the trees, it’s old shabby clothes and rubber boots, it’s wool socks and sleeping under three blankets in the summer, it’s mix ed and matched cutlery and painted plates, it’s sauna and swims under the midnight sun.

No, the woodshed is in perfect condition, you meanie! It even has flowers growing on it ❤️🌷
