finally started playing Charlie in Underworld!!! i just finished chapter 2, the route where charlie cuts the old woman's neck tie out of empathy for her.
when i first started the game and saw eugene, ive been all like "omg my child!!! theyre all so grown up now and so different im so happy!!!" but i won't lie when i say their reaction to this choice of charlie really surprised me. about how we shouldnt empathize or pity the souls too much. they were just so serious. it was like, despite the difference in their personalities, i could see boss so clearly in them at that moment. it probably shouldnt be thaatt big of a surprise considering how much time they spend with him and how much time's passed since the first game.
its just, the shift to this from moments in the last game like.. when boss sealed(?) the kids' mom despite jack clearly being the one in the wrong. and how mad eugene was at boss when he did that.
and i knowww theres been so much talk in this game about how boss is always right, no matter how harsh he might seeeemm or how annoying stuff might beeee, but it still feels so wrong. hard to get used to. i mean, is there really no other way?
quick question : do u guys like descriptive writing, or do you think it makes the story feel too long? like details n stuff ? chapter three is feeling really long to me rn. i just donβt wanna bore u guys lol :0
