I agree with him on the technical aspects, the game doesn't feel finished. Saints Row has never been the most graphically impressive franchise, but this one is a step down from 4 which is disappointing. It needed more time to be worked on. And I do think the outfit choices are pretty boring in comparison to previous games.

But that being said, the moment he started talking about the humour he lost me. He just straight up doesn't get half of it, and he spends a lot of time complaining about it. I know humour is subjective and all, but he doesn't even recognise that he just might not be the target audience anymore (which, according to the comments on the video, is a cardinal sin lol). At one point i think he says something like "hate to be a boomer complaining about gen z jokes" (or whatever can't remember exactly) but then that's precisely what he keeps doing 😭 these games have always had immature humour, or the characters will DELIBERATELY say stuff that makes them look stupid because that's the joke.

He complains a lot about them talking about capitalism or privilege, and sure not every joke lands! It is awkward and feels forces sometimes, but it's not nearly as bad as he says it is.
