Top 5 JNLR Day Stories
JNLR Oct ’12 – Sep ’13 Top 5
Where does the time go – JNLR day already?! Radio is always a tumultuous landscape: people move, times change, and the riskiest gambles don’t always pay off. As always though, we’re here with your top 5 from this most recent JNLR on none other than Halloween 2013…SPOOKY!
Lyric FM is the big winner, gaining 10,000 adult weekly listeners to reach a total of 264,000. Radio 1 is down 12,000 while 2FM is also down 6,000
It’s too early to tell what impact Pat Kenny will have on Newstalk, but the stations numbers are up 8,000
Nearly all Dublin stations are up, although  even with a 7,000 drop for FM104 they’re still king of the Dublin hill by over 140,000 listeners
Elsewhere, most local stations only saw minor fluctuations except iRadio saw large drops (8,000 on NW and 7,000 on NE)
For specific audiences, HK+CH becomes more difficult to reach nationally as all nationals see a drop in this segment, 2FM and Today FM gained some ABC1s, and only Lyric and Newstalk gained small numbers in the 25-44 arena
JNLR day at a glance. We’ll have a more in-depth review soon but in the meantime feel free to give any of our planners a shout as we always enjoy a bit of lively conversation on all things media…
