1.nicknames... hm. zenos's would definitely be "adventurer" for fai, but fai doesn't really do nicknames,,, so it'd just be his name wwwww

HELLO JOHNNY barges into your asks!! I have some questions for you! 🦁

Were they each other's first anything (kiss, relationship, etc.)?

What is their height difference? Age difference? Do either matter to them?

For the first one, they don't actually have that many physical firsts that they share with each other, considering that they got together in their mid-twenties and both had prior relationship experience. Johnny and Minfilia dated for a few months in post-ARR, and Tataru has had a couple flings during her travels.

If we count emotional firsts though, they definitely have a couple! Tataru has never been so invested in a relationship before, and Johnny has never been as open with anyone as he is with her. And they are each other's first successful long-term relationship, and they also got married for thr first time to each other!

As for the second question, their height gap is 3 feet on the dot! With Johnny at 5'11" and Tataru at 2'11", that puts him at just over twice her height. They do very much enjoy their size difference! Tataru likes riding on his shoulder since it makes her feel like a rich lady and prevents her from getting swept up in crowds. When she was a girl, she frequently would see Nanamo and Raubahn and imagine her future dream husband as a tall, strong knight like that.

Johnny doesn't get Lalafell-induced cute agression as much as some people (a necessary quality to actually have a serious relationship with one), but he definitely does find her height cute. He likes how when they hug, he can practically envelop her like a dragon curled around its treasure. He does his best to never leave things out of her reach, and only teases her about her height on very rare occasions.

For their age difference, they're the polar opposite! Tataru is just 14 days older. They were both born under the sign of Nald'Thal, the patron god of both merchants and black mages. They usually celebrate their namedays together, and it's a great excuse for a summer get-together for the Scions.

(Never mentioned but implied: Solveig is part of the lion dance association, which is her way of keeping the refugees' traditions alive as atonement for her past as a Garlean conscript.)

Oh my gosh, this is so sweet!!! I absolutely feel the love in it, in everything from Solveig's practice of her craft to the growth of the kid she takes under her wing. 😭✨

Estinien: I may be a bit biased because Amba (the player) and I RP with him some significant amount, but god I love this Disaster Dragoon. I can always appreciate a character that tries to be all cool and aloof and everything but is secretly kind of a disaster area (and boy is he). Also ngl him being stuck with Gaius of all people was a welcome surprise; the two play off of one another really well lol (they bicker like a fuckin married couple I stg). His entire earlier arc of being all VENGEANCE VENGEANCE VENGEANCE only to get hoisted by it and then learn that hey maybe mindless revenge isn’t the best thing to be doing, and learning to do better, is just...MMMM. -chefkiss-

Also c’mon his whole thing with being wildly intimidated by two little Lalafells is fucking hilarious. I’m unironically kind of in love with how Krile and Tataru mcfuckin bully his stoic I MUST BE ALONE ass.

All of that pain... that pressure, that heartbreak, that frustration and terror... You’ve suffered so much for so long, and none of us were any the wiser.

I know you meant for it to be that way on purpose, but I still feel as if some part of me has failed you. Some part of me that could have been there when I wasn’t, and when you needed it most.

Please don’t ever feel like that has to happen again. I won’t let it happen if I can help it.

27. Do they have any cool scar stories?

A better word would be “grand”; either way, it is the story of how he got the scar on his cheek and lost lower part of his ear. It was actually during the journey to Night Raven College - the carriage got attacked by people sent to kill him, and chaos ensued, resulting in Lendel fighting off the hitmen and the carriage getting demolished. In the end, Lendel arrived at NRC bleeding, beaten up, without a part of his ear, and... grinning widely like a beast that just finished consuming its prey.

29. What do they do to relax?

First impression: Who is this cat bleeding on our floor? Also, wow, Yda knows her well enough to use the familiar name? Storytime~

Impression now: I need to get to where I can do Collectibles, but M’naago’s a competent field commander, solid soldier, and she’s quite relieved and happy to remain second in command, thanks.

Favorite moment: Her interactions with her griffin were great; we rarely get to see mounts treated that way in the story. Meeting her parents and hanging out was a lovely time. Injured (again) M’naago sharply telling Conrad they had to keep fighting was a great one, too.

Idea for a story: Don’t currently have one, but it’d probably be something to do with her being the executive officer of the Reach and all the shenanigans that entails. Because trust me; it’s a military camp, there are Shenanigans.

Unpopular opinion: While she has the seniority and the skills, and by rights Conrad should have given her command (instead of making a symbol out of Lyse; I’m still mad about that, old man), M’naago’s happier not being in charge, not being the one to make the political as well as military decisions. She pretty much gets to be in charge of the Reach, anyway, while Lyse ends up acting as Raubahn’s Marshall when all is said and done. But M’naago is right where she needs and wants to be for now.

Favorite relationship: Her friendship with Lyse is the major hint at just what Lyse and Papalymo were up to during Heavensward, and their friendship ends up a cornerstone of the Scions’ relationship to the Resistance. They work well together and if there weren’t chain of command issues they could probably totally be dating.

Favorite headcanon: M’naago gets into griffin racing challenges with members of the griffin rider unit. Part of the reason they move to Castellum Velodyna  during the Ananta tribe story is really to get away from M’naago constantly kicking their tails. It doesn’t work.

Also her and Lyse have a downlow Thing going on, cuz seriously, the familiar name. Lyse has known Y’shtola how long, and they’re described in the lorebook as being good friends, and Lyse doesn’t dare call her Shtola in public but I don’t think I have ever heard her use the “M” for Naago.
