sometimes i can't really believe how sad nanami's fate is. like, he's protective of the people he loves, especially kids and he takes as a duty he'll forever fulfill until he takes his last breath and god.
all he ever wanted was to retire on a beach in Kuantan and be able to finally rest and not having to give a damn about this world he was dragged into. Read all those books he bought but never got the chance to read it back then because of his shitty office job and that's from the fact that his best friend fucking died right in front of him and he had to drag his lifeless body back. Let himself get secluded from the world that took so much from him and just be able to do his own things at his own paces after following around chaotically.
and he doesn't get that chance bc he dies.
the worst thing of all is that he doesn't mind dying, hell he's okay with dying because he already reccieved gratitude for his duty (which is not enough), the only time we even see him smiling is when he's about to die.
